All The Colours of the Rainbow

    May 10, 2013 /

So my Weekly Wardrobe posts have now become whatever i’m wearing on Friday posts due to feeling pretty unphotogenic lately. I want to blame the light and the fact I am rubbish at taking selfies.. but in all honesty, I just don’t think I photograph well! I’m hoping when I get into my new house (whenever that is) I’ll have better places to do outfit posts because I do enjoy keeping track of what I’ve been wearing! As you are aware, last week I took part in the Blog Sale Extravaganza with some other bloggers (and if you don’t know, go check it out, loads left!) I wasn’t just wanting…

#121 The Epic Blog Sale Extravaganza

    May 2, 2013 /

Hello! Welcome to the Epic Blog Sale Extravaganza.  Myself and four other bloggers have linked up our sales post to make online thrifty shopping much easier. We have a range of sizes to offer as well as a range of styles so I’m sure you’ll find something to your fancy. As the banner above states, all prices include UK postage. It works on a first come, first serve basis. First blogger to leave their name, items wanted and paypal address for invoicing will be who gets the item. None of that nasty bidding business that comes with eBay! Haggling is welcome (within reasons of course). The other four lovely sellers. Erica –…

#120 Peaches for Monsieur le Cure by Joanne Harris Review

    May 1, 2013 /

When Vianne Rocher receives a letter from beyond the grave, she has no choice but to return to Lansquenet, where she once owned a chocolate shop and learned the meaning of home. But returning to one’s past can be a dangerous pursuit, and Vianne and her daughters find the beautiful French village changed in unexpected ways: women veiled in black, the scent of spices in the air, and—facing the church—a minaret. Most surprising of all, her old nemesis, Francis Reynaud, desperately needs her help. Can Vianne work her magic once again? Back in January I read the sequel to Chocolat; (you know the movie with Johnny Depp? well it was…

#117 Where Amy Ate – Stateside Diner, Newcastle Upon Tyne

    April 29, 2013 /

Welcome to the newest feature on Cocktails in Teacups, Where Amy Ate. I have made no secret in the fact I love to eat out. I don’t do it much since leaving the city and if I do it’s usually in my hometown. I try to mention as little about here as possible. But when I’m away for the day or the weekend, one of the best things is being able to eat out. I am known for going to the same places, Nandos, Wetherspoons, Frankie and Bennys but I’ve decided to make this feature work, I’m going to try new places. As I mentioned on my Weekly Wardrobe post,…

    North East Body Shop Event

    April 28, 2013 /

As I mentioned on my Weekly Wardrobe post, on Friday I attended a Body Shop event held in Newcastle and hosted by Maddie. Despite having severe train trouble (the train sat on the platform for an HOUR before departing due to a thunderstorm knocking out the lines) I arrived only 10 minutes late and even then it didn’t start straight away giving me time to meet up with some lovely bloggers i’d previously met at the Benefit Fake Up event or I regular chat to on twitter. I was especially pleased to see Louise of Confetti Letters, Chloe of Chloe Witty and Tasha of Hello Freckles. We were all greeted…
