Valentines Day Gifts with Debenhams

As I mentioned in my post on Thursday, I’m single again but that probably won’t stop me celebrating Valentines Day in my own way and Debenhams were kind enough to send me an amazing hamper filled with my favourite Valentines gift picks to share with you all, just in case your other half is lacking in inspiration on what you buy for the big day.

Of course Valentines Day isn’t just about the gifts. It’s about showing your loved one, be that a significant other, a child, or even a friend just how you feel about them. Technically, you should do that every day, as we all know actions speak louder than words but for me it’s always just an extra excuse to do something nice. These days Little Miss and I eat our favourite foods and I buy her a gift. She sometimes makes me a card.

Anyway, this post is all about gifts. Specifically the fantastic range of gifts for her currently available at Debenhams.

The gifts for her section in Debenhams is filled with both traditional Valentines Day gifts such as perfume, underwear, chocolates and more modern ideas like candles, make up, homeware and even tech gifts. There are also gift experiences which are perfect for couples wanting to escape or do an activity together.

Of course these gifts don’t need to just be ideas for you from your other half, you could buy them for yourself or treat your best friend. Galentines is a thing people!

Anyway, I thought I’d share my thoughts on my favourite gifts for her;

Metallic Swirl Wine Glasses* £8 each
Is it just me or are wine glasses first to get smashed when you pack your cupboard too full? I think I have about 6 glasses, all different these days! Anyway, these beautiful metallic swirl glasses by Julien Mcdonald are so on trend with the rose gold colouring. They’d make a fab V day gift paired with a bottle of wine.

Zoella Lazy Days Candle* £10
Candles are always a winner with me and a lot of ladies I know, especially at this time of year when it’s dark early. But what I like about this one is the fresh scent that reminds me of Spring. The neutral colour means it’ll go in any room so you really can’t go wrong with it.

Carbonnel & Walker Pink Marc de Champagne Truffles* £8.40
Does anything scream Valentines day more than Carbonnel & Walker truffles? Presented in their little round box they’re just perfect. I’d honestly be so happy with a box of those and some flowers because they just look like Valentines Day. I’ve always been a sucker for the Pink Marc de Champagne ones, they’re probably my favourite chocolate.

Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum 50ml* £54.40
Perfume is the quintessential Valentines gift and Gucci Bamboo is definitely one of my favourite perfumes currently on the market. I love the strong feminine scent, the vanilla comes through a lot more than I excepted which is probably why I like it so much. It’s currently on offer, a 50ml bottle is £54.40 rather than £68.

Too Faced Boudoir Eyes* £29
Your girl likes make up? I cannot recommend Budoir Eyes enough. It’s a pocket friendly high end palette with some beautiful colours in that can be utilised for both daytime and night. I like that it comes in a little box so would be super easy to wrap too!

Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner in Purple* £20
If you’re going to buy a pretty eyeshadow palette for your other half, you may as well go all out and buy her a matching eyeliner too! Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liners have great staying power and come in a selection of colours like this purple one!

Red Herring Rosebud Print Skater Dress* £20
Having someone buy you clothes is never ideal however this rosebud print dress is just too cute not to share and it would be perfect for Valentines day. Be it as a gift or to wear out for a special meal. It’s so soft and fits really well, amazing for £20!
