5 Festive Things to Do With Your Child in the North East*
Hands up who put their tree up this weekend? I know we did! After a trip to town and seeing the decorations along with some trees in the windows of houses, Little Miss convinced me that we needed to put ours up. So with an order of pizza we spent Saturday night watching The Enchanted Christmas & Once Upon a Christmas and really decking the halls. Although I have to admit I feel less Christmassy each year until it gets closer to the day, it has helped lift my spirits a bit and the sitting room feels so cosy with all the lights on and the gingerbread candles burning. Now…

5 Things to Remember About Living in Rented Accommodation*
This year sees 10 years since I moved out of my parent’s house and although in that time I have lived in university accommodation, for the most part I’ve lived in rented properties. I don’t come from a background where my parents were able to help me pulled together the money for the deposit to own a place of my own, and I’ve only ever had a job where I can basically afford the rent and utilities with nothing spare to save so for the foreseeable future, I will continue to live in places that are rented. Here are 5 things I’ve learnt about living in rented accommodation over the…

5 Things I Enjoy About Winter*
Technically we know that Winter doesn’t officially start until December, and the winter months in the UK are actually December, January and February. However with the current climate that doesn’t fly as I’ve seen snow as late as May up here and right now with the fact we had hail stones last week and it’s absolute freezing when the sun is down, I often feel like Winter has started as early as October. Making right now, mid November, feel like it’s in full swing. So today I thought I’d share 5 things I love about Winter. Because lets face it, on the whole it’s a pretty grim month. I’m going…

Well it’s the morning after the night before, Halloween is over for another year! Halloween 2016 has been a lot of fun for us this year, we did quite a lot of things to celebrate the season, from watching spooky movies to going to Halloween parties and dressing up. Instead of lots of little posts, I’m doing a big round up post of all the things we did filled with photos. Enjoy! Disney Bloggers Halloween Gift Swap These days the only blogger niche I associate myself with is the Disney bloggers, so I was so excited when Hannah put together a gift swap for us. I took part in the…

TV Shows I’m Happy to See Back This Autumn*
I’ve made no secret of the fact I watch very little TV, this is mainly to do I do a lot of watching on my iPad when really I should invest in a TV for my bedroom, such as the Panasonic 4K TV, it would make me want to spend more time watching rather than playing on my phone, that’s for sure! However, last week three of my favourite TV shows returned after their summer break, all with new seasons, and I couldn’t be happier! Anyway, first up; Once Upon a Time I have watched Once Upon a Time since the very first episode and stuck through it even when…

Berwick Food & Beer Festival 2016
Back in 2014 I blogged about our local Food & Beer festival, however last year I was way too sick to take photos. This year though I made a concious effort, even just to have a note of it on the blog. Berwick’s Food & Beer Festival is possibly our families favourite local event of the year so by last Saturday we were hyped. Sadly the forecast wasn’t the best but armed with umbrellas and raincoats we headed over for an afternoon of good food and drink. One of my favourite things about the festival is the number of food stalls there are. I always try and save some money…
