Favourite TV Shows to Binge Watch*
Being single is often incredibly lonely and dull, especially in the evening. So I’ve taken to heading to bed about 8pm and binge watching TV shows. It’s the best way to really switch off and get out of my head (something I’ve needed to do a lot of at the moment). However the hardest part is trying to decide what to watch next. I’m really not someone who can sit down in front of my TV and flick til I find something I fancy, nor am I like my mum and have my set programs I watch every day of the week. I like to have one or two series…

Goodbye Three
Today is Little Miss’ last day as a three year old. Tomorrow it’s her 4th birthday. To me, four seems so much older than three. Last year when she went from two to three it didn’t feel like as a big a step. Three still feels like a baby age, or at least a toddler age. But lets face it, four is a big step. At four she’s going to start big school, and wear a uniform and be away from me 6 hours a day for 5 days a week. And I’m dreading it. I’m not ready for that baby stage to be over with in case I never…

Ways You Can Help in Times of Flooding*
We may not have had any snow, and it’s only been super cold one week so far this winter but rain and storms, I think we’ve had a years worth over the last couple of months. I live in a coastal town at the mouth of a river and with each heavy rain fall there is that fear that the river banks just aren’t going to take it anymore. Although I live on a hill, my parents live right at the river mouth so I’m guessing they’ll be hit first, and hard. It’s really tragic that we’re now living in a country where flooding is becoming a major concern. Thankfully…

Hijack My Flatpack!*
So, 2016, the year where I take back my house and make it more into a home. As I’ve mentioned in a few posts this month I’m going to be making a concious effort on really making my house into somewhere I want to be. My itchy feet mean I spend way too much of my time thinking about far off places rather than just what lies inside my front door. So I’m taking back my four walls and turning it into a real home with my stamp on it. One of my biggest issues with my living situation is the fact I’m on a tight budget even when I’m…

Home Resolutions for 2016*
Last year I spent so little time doing anything to my home that I actually felt quite sad. I was so focused on adventures further afield I really neglected our house. I’ve already shared a post about how I hope to improve my home this year, but it really isn’t just that I want to look at. Last year chores became something I saw as an after thought, I bought in things to do some DIY and it ended up in a cupboard under the stairs. The long and short of it is I made some bad choices when it came to my home and as an almost 28 year…
