How to Make Your Bedroom Truly Unique*

Since when did our bedrooms become beige washouts? Don’t get me wrong, beige can be lovely (and so can Chinese lantern shades/IKEA desks etc.), but perhaps it’s time for something…

    Little Miss Cosplays Part Six

    February 25, 2016 /

Time for another installment of Little Miss Cosplays, today we’re looking at her Big Hero 6 inspired outfits! My daughter is a little bit weird, she loves BH6 way more than Frozen (don’t get me wrong, she loves to meet the sisters in person but she would never pick the movie over BH6). Her 4th birthday was even Big Hero 6 themed! I know a lot of it is to do with the fact it’s the first movie she ever saw at the cinema, but in my opinion, it is a far superior movie, it’s just a shame Disney cannot see that. Never mind! Despite the fact you can only…

When it comes to designing your child’s bedroom, you can go about it in different ways. Naturally, your kids must be comfortable in their own room. Bedrooms come in many shapes and sizes. Some are built for single occupancy, while others can accommodate three or more kids. How to Throw a Cocktail Party*

    February 23, 2016 /

The French have ‘apéritif’, Italy owns ‘aperitivo’ and what do we bring to the civilised space between late afternoon and evening? Happy Hour? Time to revive the louche decadence of a cocktail party we say. It’s the perfect size and shape for people who don’t really ‘do’ parties, doesn’t take a whole lot of planning, works a budget like a bootlegger at a speakeasy and can’t help but whisper good old-fashioned glamour. So if it’s time to release your inner fabulous, here’s what you need to know. Who to Invite and How A cocktail party should feel intimate, but if numbers are important to you, over-invite a little, about 40%…

Walt Disney World – First Day Traditions

    February 21, 2016 /

Well two weeks today Little Miss and I will be spending our last night in our house for four weeks. No doubt I’ll be running around like a headless chicken and she’ll be having her pre-holiday bath and hair wash. We don’t leave until 4pm the next day but I’ll be busy with all the printing out of boarding passes and breaking my heart over taking my cat to my sister’s. Today however, I have a chest infection and a cold/flu virus so I’ve spent all day in bed with a pack of Lemsip Max capsules for company. Little Miss did make me a get well soon card though. So,…

For British travelers, Sicily’s summer heat and its ideal temperate climate at all seasons of the year, offer the perfect escape from the harsh cold weather of Britain. These factors are also a major reason why British tourists flock to Italy every year by the thousands- in and out of the holiday season – to sip wine in the sunny vineyards of Tuscany, or sunbathe in the beaches of Sicily and the Aeolian islands. 5 Stages of Shopping Online*

    February 16, 2016 /

I have a confession to make, I’m dreadful when it comes to buying stuff online, especially if I’ve had a drink or I’m bored. It’s so easy to just open up an app and order something incredibly random or I don’t need, just because it’s there at my finger tips. I go through five stages of online shopping, well at least 5 thought processes and today I’m going to share them with you; What Do I Want? Usually when I’m shopping online, even if I’m drunk and it is a random purchase, I do try to think of what I want. Over the last few years I seem to have…
