    Looking Back on May 2016

    June 1, 2016 /

If you’ve been someone who has followed my blog since the beginning you know that every May I fall apart. It serves as a reminder of the darkest time of my life, when I nearly imploded and eventually escaped my abusive relationship. I still remember the events leading up to the 27th May 2012, I still have nightmares about the night of the 26th. Usually I’m a bigger basket case than on a regular day.. normally I take double my meds just to get through each day. However I haven’t been medicated since November of last year, and for the first May in four years, I’ve happy. May 2016 has…

So, you’ve just got your house looking perfect and you welcome your first bundle of joy. The first few years your only concerns are baby proofing the place.. after that you need to start thinking about how to help your furniture survive the pre-school years. That’s where I’m at now. I don’t have the money to replace the table when she gets paint all over it that won’t scrub off. Or repaint whenever she feels the need to scribble on my walls. Lets not forget the occasional jumping on the sofa or bed whenever my back is turned. She’s not a bad kid, she’s just a kid that occasionally forgets…

Shopping Spotlight – Vintage Light Jewelry

    May 28, 2016 /

Instagram really is a wonderful piece of social media. In fact it’s my favourite as I’m a very visual person. What I love the most is how many friends, and small businesses it’s introduced me to over the years, specifically the last year. One of these is an American based artist called Jodi, and her store Vintage Light Jewelry. I’ve been following and talking to her on Instagram for quite a while but it’s only in the last month did I manage to get ahold of one of her beautiful pieces, well two of her pieces as she sent something for Little Miss too! Last year Jodi started making beautiful…

Our 5 Must Do Things at Disneyland Paris

    May 26, 2016 /

Next month I’m off for a day to Disneyland Paris with my best friend Bee and her other friend Nat. It’s the first time I’ll have done a Disney park without Little Miss and I’m dreading it. But I know it’ll be a lot of fun. So in preparation I’m sharing Little Miss and my must dos at Disneyland Paris. I’m not expecting these to be everyones because my 4 year old had a lot of say in these! The Princess Pavilion Although I have said many times, I dislike the set up of the Princess Pavilion in comparison to Princess Fairytale Hall at Walt Disney World, we cannot go…
