Hello Five!
On Saturday Little Miss turned five! I’m not sure why but five seems a lot older than four! Maybe it’s because she’s at school now, or has almost lost her third tooth, or just the fact she really is no longer a baby. She is starting to read and write and is completely independent as far as dressing and undressing herself, brushing her hair, teeth and feeding herself. She really is a big girl now. Unlike last year I didn’t find done to do a pre-birthday photo shoot and put together a post because she was at school and then in the evening I had a cake and balloon disaster…

Hello Four!
As I mentioned in my post on Wednesday, Little Miss turned four this week, on Thursday actually. I cannot believe my baby is now a big girl four year old, I keep having to say it out loud to make it feel real! We had a really lovely day, just family and even my dad had managed to get the day off which is something that never happens during the week. When I was putting Little Miss to be that night she told me that it was her “best day ever” and that’s a lot coming from someone who regularly spends time in the most magical places on Earth! At…

Goodbye Three
Today is Little Miss’ last day as a three year old. Tomorrow it’s her 4th birthday. To me, four seems so much older than three. Last year when she went from two to three it didn’t feel like as a big a step. Three still feels like a baby age, or at least a toddler age. But lets face it, four is a big step. At four she’s going to start big school, and wear a uniform and be away from me 6 hours a day for 5 days a week. And I’m dreading it. I’m not ready for that baby stage to be over with in case I never…

Our Summer Bucket List*
Today is the first day of the six weeks summer holidays. I have been both dreading and feeling incredibly excited about this holiday. It’s LM’s first time ever being off for the whole lot since the past two years we’ve paid for her to attend pre-school but now because she’s on funding she doesn’t get anything towards her time there. The first two weeks are especially daunting because my parents are out of the country and I rely on my mum a lot, even just for adult company. So, to keep us going I’ve put together a bucket list for the summer with things we can do together (not including…

Puddle Pug by Kim Norman Review
It’s very rare that I ever get asked to review something for Little Miss since I’m not exclusively a parenting blogger & I don’t share a million photos of my beautiful child. So when the chance came along to review a new book for children, this wasn’t an opportunity I was going to turn down. “Percy the Pug loves puddles: big puddles, small puddles, swamp puddles, stomp puddles. But no puddle is perfect, until he finds one with three friendly piglets. But protective Mama Pig says NO PUGS and chases Percy away! Irresistibly illustrated by Keika Yamaguchi, Kim Norman’s tale about a persistent pug and his pursuit of friendship in…

The Perfectly Honest Single Parent Post
Hi my name is Amy and I’m a single mother. I have a two year old daughter from a previous (domestic abusive) relationship and she has nothing to do with her father. I am not just a single mother, I’m a sole parent. I make all the decisions in regards to how my child is raised and I also am the only person who sets rules and boundaries. My daughter attends nursery five hours a week. Aside from that, she is with me. In the blogging world it appears to be frowned upon to admit your child is anything less than perfect. Like with everything in life as far as…
