Looking Back on March 2017
Is that March over already? I’m glad that this year is moving quickly because between our trips every day life sucks. It was my birthday this month and I turned 29, yep 29. One year off 30. I don’t think I took it well and I did a fair amount of crying. I really wanted to be okay about it but I’m not. Maybe one day I’ll get back to loving every day life like I used to but right now, I just don’t.
So March, not only did I celebrated my birthday, which was nice in it’s own way and I was truly spoilt but it was Mothers Day, which I enjoyed so much more (and I blogged about it so you’ll read more about it in a moment.) I also had a weekend away to Bee’s where we went to see Beauty and the Beast (which was amazing by the way), drank a lot of homemade wine and I finally watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It was so good to catch up. I binge watched Gossip Girl and now I’m binge watching How I Met Your Mother because I really really miss New York. Little Miss had her school photos taken and celebrated World Book Day dressing up as Alice in Wonderland. I’ve also been spending a lot more time with my sister which has been helping with my crippling anxiety. Being on my own has been messing with my head so we’ve started having a pizza party at one of our houses on a Saturday night and she spends her days off with me. This week we managed 2 massive walks as she’s trying to lose weight. Although I felt rather exhausted after them it was nice to get out.
Today I’m heading away for the weekend with Little Miss to see one of our friends from Florida, so that’s how I’m kicking off April. I really hope it’ll be a better month, in weather and in mental health! It’s the Easter holidays and I have a day away to Newcastle planned along with hopefully a day to York to meet up with Bee planned. We have an Easter Sunday brunch and egg hunt at my sister’s planned and a sleepover movie night. Then the second week of the holidays Little Miss and I are finally off to Disneyland Paris to enjoy the 25th Anniversary celebrations! So it’s super busy!
This month I tried to blog as much as possible and managed 23 days out of the 31 we had this month. I’m still proud of my content although I don’t feel like I’m putting it out there as much as I could be so that can be my focus for April.
Anyway, here is my best of blog for March;
First up Disney. Last month I treated myself to one of the L’Oreal Beauty and the Beast lipsticks and I finally reviewed it this month. The colour is perfect and I’ve worn it a few times including on my birthday and it has great staying power as well as being a lovely colour. I also finally shared my Disney Confessions Part 2! It was great to get some things off my chest especially as the Disney Community doesn’t let people to have their own opinions these days. Finally I continued my Little Miss Meets at Disney series, I’m really enjoying this series and it’s definitely given me the drive to try and meet some characters we haven’t met yet.
Next all the Travel posts this month were again from Walt Disney World (I’m missing it, okay?!) I’ve started my restaurant reviews from our last trip when we were on the dining plan. This month I shared our experience at Cinderella’s Royal Table which was amazing (and I’m super proud of my photos too so it’s worth checking it out for them. I also reviewed The Crystal Palace that I ate at for the second time in October, it was so much better than I remembered.
Parenting blog posts from March included my review of Jakks Pacific new Beauty and the Beast range of toys. Little Miss was so blessed to receive the rose, a tea set and a Belle doll from the live action range, she loved them all and we had such fun unboxing them to review. We also gave you a look at Closet Geek’s newest range of clothes that were listed on etsy the past month, LM is lucky enough to get a sneak peak as I take the photos for the store. The Cinderella one will be getting it’s first outing to Disneyland Paris next month!
Finally, Life, as I mentioned above, I seemed to have had a busier month with “events” even if the every day has been uneventful. First we celebrated International Womens Day, as a mother of a daughter this day becomes so much more important with each passing year. I love celebrating the strong women in my life that I’m truly blessed to have as role models for Little Miss. As I turn the big three O next year I decided to put together a 30 before 30 to motivate me into accomplishing some things I’ve been meaning to do. And finally I shared what we all got up to on Mothers Day this year including some photos of the best Sunday roast I have ever had in my life.
