Things I Hate About Being a “Grown Up”*
Technically, I have been officially and adult for almost 9 years, however I don’t include the time I was at university, or the time I lived with my two of my best friends before falling pregnant. As during those years I was completely reckless and made very childish decisions. Ahh, those were good years. Anyway, I’ve mentioned a few times in regards to my lack of blogging that I’ve been feeling “blue” since returning from America. And I have realised a lot of the things that make me miserable are the day to day things that all adults have to deal with. It’s just a fact of life but it…

Berwick Food & Beer Festival September 2014
Usually I’m someone who is very much “Oh we did this last week” or “we did this the other day” but today I’m actually sharing a post about what I did, today! This is a rarity but as I’m still under the weather I wanted to share photographs rather than a lot of text. This weekend in my hometown, it’s my favourite festival, the Food and Beer Festival. Of course, beer & ale I can leave but they also have loads of local produce and possibly my favourite drink for the summer, strawberry cider. It’s also my dad’s favourite festival, and after today, possibly Little Miss’ too! So of course…

Mid Year Round Up 2014
In case you haven’t realised yet, I have a new layout! That I put together myself. For the first time in the history of Cocktails in Teacups I have a new colour scheme! My favourite colour is actually teal/turquoise so I decided to go with that. The drawing was done by my little sister Erin, she’s a fantastic artist but doesn’t have the time with a full time job and a toddler. She’s far too flattering when it comes to her cartoons but I promised I’d use it! I feel like it’s so much easier to navigate now and I won’t lie, I’m so proud of it! Anyway, I almost…

Happy Birthday Mum
Today is my mum’s birthday, and I didn’t want the day to go by without a shoutout to her. She is the most amazing woman before and I know i’ve mentioned this many times in other such posts, but she is my inspiration to be the mother I am. She has dedicated her whole life to her family, from when she was a child and lived at home with her parents and four siblings, to when she married my dad and raised my sister and I. And now she’s a wonderful grandmother to my daughter. She also looks after children in a pre-school that she is head of. She is…

National Best Friends Day
My “to write” posts are really getting on top of me at the moment, so expect a couple of days next week to have two! However ever today, since it’s National Best Friends day, I had to bring you all another post about my wonderful friends, in particular, my best friends. I know I’ve wrote a few posts about my best friends, or at least, I’ve included them in a lot of my more personal posts, but sometimes just feel like I need to give them a shout out for being so awesome. Originally Bee and I were going to do a guest post swap, but I completely forgot today…
