Outfit of the Day – Orange County Girl

As you’re aware, I’m not an Orange County girl, in fact I usually don’t like orange, but I do like terracotta or burnt orange. I’m picky like that! But anyway,…

Walt Disney World – First Day Traditions

    February 21, 2016 /

Well two weeks today Little Miss and I will be spending our last night in our house for four weeks. No doubt I’ll be running around like a headless chicken and she’ll be having her pre-holiday bath and hair wash. We don’t leave until 4pm the next day but I’ll be busy with all the printing out of boarding passes and breaking my heart over taking my cat to my sister’s. Today however, I have a chest infection and a cold/flu virus so I’ve spent all day in bed with a pack of Lemsip Max capsules for company. Little Miss did make me a get well soon card though. So,…

Travel Content // 7 Spots in Sicily to Escape Britain’s Winter*

    February 18, 2016 /

For British travelers, Sicily’s summer heat and its ideal temperate climate at all seasons of the year, offer the perfect escape from the harsh cold weather of Britain. These factors are also a major reason why British tourists flock to Italy every year by the thousands- in and out of the holiday season – to sip wine in the sunny vineyards of Tuscany, or sunbathe in the beaches of Sicily and the Aeolian islands. Even in September Sicily still enjoys high temperatures well through October. Currently you can book Flights to Sicily from London’s Gatwick to Palermo’s Punta Raisi Airport at very affordable prices . If you need further information…

    5 Stages of Shopping Online*

    February 16, 2016 /

I have a confession to make, I’m dreadful when it comes to buying stuff online, especially if I’ve had a drink or I’m bored. It’s so easy to just open up an app and order something incredibly random or I don’t need, just because it’s there at my finger tips. I go through five stages of online shopping, well at least 5 thought processes and today I’m going to share them with you; What Do I Want? Usually when I’m shopping online, even if I’m drunk and it is a random purchase, I do try to think of what I want. Over the last few years I seem to have…

    Little Miss Cosplays, Part Five

    February 16, 2016 /

It’s getting to that time before a trip where I’m starting to think about what I’m going to be putting into the cases. As we’re away for 4 weeks and 80% of that time is going to be spent in the parks, my main focus is of course on the outfits Little Miss is going to wear. I’m at the stage where I need to try everything on and hope they fit, work out what little accessories she needs (because she’s a stickler for that sort of things these days!) So that of course means we’re going to have regular Little Miss Cosplays posts for the next few weeks. I…

Valentines Day Movies for the Single Gal*

    February 13, 2016 /

Are we really over 6 weeks into the new year already? How did that happen? Of course that now means we’re up to “singles awareness day” or as everyone else knows it, Valentines Day. Of course I’ll be spending the evening alone, probably getting drunk and crying about how after 4 years I’m still alone (I’m allowed to be sad about it every now and then, OKAY?!) So what can I do? A movie night, some pampering, with chocolate and wine.. obviously! And wouldn’t it be nice if I could watch something on a new Panasonic’s 4K Ultra HD TV? A girl can dream. Anyway, to cheer myself up I’ve…

What Little Miss Read – January 2016

    February 7, 2016 /

I’m a week late with the round up of what Little Miss has been reading (or having me read to her) in January, so much so I managed to add another book to the list! I’m only including new books we’ve read as often she likes me to read ones I’ve read a million times before, or sometimes if she goes to bed late, she doesn’t get a story at all. As I’ve mentioned before Little Miss loves books and she’s getting to the age where she likes to look through the pages and tell the story herself. I’m so glad literature is already a big part of her life…
