Why Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Rekindled my Love for the Wizarding World
Imagine, a little 10 year old Hermione Granger type, stepping into her school library looking for a way to avoid going outside during break time. She goes to the new releases and picks up a shiny new copy of a book that would probably change her life; Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. She sits down and starts to read. She was transported into this new world, a world of magic (and lets face it, as a kid already into Disney she was open to this sort of thing) and she was lost. Obviously it was me. I anticipated every book release, the later ones I was there to pick…

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child First Thoughts
I’m not really one for book reviews these days, I tried to do them but found it impossible to do them spoiler free. So I’m going to say now, this is NOT SPOILER FREE, so if you haven’t read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child yet, don’t read on any further because I’ll end up ruining it for you. This is my personal opinions and thoughts on the latest (and apparently last) instalment of the Harry Potter saga. As an introduction I’m going to give you a few bits of information. Firstly, I studied drama at university, I am very familiar with play scripts, both how to read them, how…

Walt Disney World April 2015, Day 2 – Universal Parks
I’m feeling rather rubbish tonight but I’m trying really hard to stay on top of my blog (even if I’m not on top of everything else) and I managed to nap at my mum’s after dinner so I have no excuse really. So today I’m sharing what I got up to on my second day on holiday in Florida. Although this is all lumped together as our Walt Disney World holiday, on my second day we visited the “other” parks as I really wanted to do The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. So here is what we got up to; Our second morning wasn’t as an early start, I think…

Hot Topic Haul September 2014
ALL LINKS REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER FOR SALE I’m kinda going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment which makes me sort of shy away from my blog. When I come out the other end I may even write about it.. That’s what I usually do anyway. You may have to bare with me and my sporadic uninteresting posts for a wee while until I get my head straight. So this evening, because I have nothing better to do, I’m sharing my Hot Topic haul with you all. No this isn’t what I bought while out in the US back in August, this is the one…

The Warner Brothers Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter
Back in May I FINALLY got to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour for my best friend Bee‘s birthday. I have been wanting to go for ages so when she suggested that I went with them as there was space in the car I was there despite it being two days after getting back from DLP. We set off very early in the morning and stopped half way down for a Little Chef breakfast and arrived an hour or so before our booking time of three pm. I had Little Miss with me due to the fact my parents were away for the weekend, although I know in hindsight…

The Geeky Side of Me
I’ve toyed with the idea of doing a blog post like this, but I haven’t had anything good enough to have as a focal point of it. I really enjoyed Kirsty’s blog post about her love for Doctor Who, and Rhiannon’s various geeky posts about playing Warcraft among other things. Although I’m not a fan of either, they were both brilliant reads. Anyway, I’m not a geek in the regular sense of the word, my geekiness mainly resolves around books, Disney, fairytales and fantasy. Included in the fantasy bracket is of course Harry Potter. I mean what fantasy fan doesn’t like Harry Potter? I have liked, no loved Harry Potter…
