Disneyland Paris Haul January 2017
I know not everyone is a fan of “hauls” and in my opinion it is a silly word for things you’ve bought, haul always sounds like you’ve stolen it but if you say a post is a haul in the blogging world people know exactly what you mean. ANYWAY, this is just a quick round up on the things we bought while in Disneyland Paris last month (much more of a mouthful than haul). Usually I forget to take photos before things are opened or put away but this time I remembered to photograph all by one item that LM opened while we were on the Eurostar, it was a Minnie Mouse colouring pack I’m sure was about 5.99e.
We didn’t have a huge amount of money and I figured since we’re planning at least two, possibly three more trips this year anything we didn’t get we could pick up when we’re back. Because we had 20% off merch with our Annual Passes we were able to get more than I expected which was nice. So here is what we got, with Little Miss’ picks up first;
Tinkerbell Shoes reduced to 7e
Palace Pets lego 7.99e
Shellie May Tsum Tsum 5.99e
Moana Pin gifted
Tink Pin gifted
Birthday Badge gifted
Lego Birthday Set gifted
So it’s a lot of Tink right? There is a story behind that. While waiting to see Goofy at the Studios we met a Cast Member who told Little Miss she knew Tink and how Tink wouldn’t approve of Little Miss kissing Peter while being dressed as Wendy. LM insisted she liked Tink too and to prove it when I asked her to pick some things out in the store she chose the Tinkerbell doll (who in my opinion is so beautiful and was an excellent choice) and Tink shoes because she would “really love a Tink dress one day to show Jess.” The Tink pin was more my doing though and she’d picked it before ever meeting Jess. I think she caught me telling Bee that it was my favourite so when I asked her to pick two to use her pixie dust* slip on she chose that one and the Moana & Maui pin she wanted. I have no idea how much they were as we got them for free. She also got her birthday badge for free from the Town Hall in the main Disney park. On our last night we went into the lego store and I let her pick something small, she picked out a Palace Pets set as it had a cat on it. At the counter the cast member serving us gave Little Miss a special birthday set for when he saw her birthday badge. It really made her day.
* Pixie dust is some extra Disney magic. Little Miss was gifted 5 pins, one for each member of our party. I gave her mine so she came away with two.
Disneyland Paris Magnet 3.99e
Belle Ornament 12.99e
Cinderella Ornament 12.99e
Technically Little Miss picked out the bauble. We were in the Christmas store and I asked her which one she thought we should get for our tree and she picked this one. I was pleased as it was only 9.99e even cheaper than it had been on the Disney Store website over Christmas! It’s really pretty. Every time I go everywhere I get a magnet to mark the occasion it’s something my parents used to do when I was a kid and I love walking into the kitchen and seeing the magnets as a reminder of our adventures. Finally the two princesses which now sit happily on my fireplace with Merida, Rapunzel, Ariel & Aurora. I think these are so good for 12.99e each! They’re proper ornaments and the detail on their face is gorgeously done. Their dresses are glittery and catch the sun. I only need Snow & Jasmine now.
Signed Frame
Postcard 0.99e
Last few bits. While waiting to get our Annual Passes a Cast Member presented LM with this for her birthday making her an honorary princess. I can’t wait to frame it and put it in her room. The frame we brought from home and had all the characters sign it at the Neverland Brunch. Sadly because Chip didn’t come by we have a space.. I may get him to sign it when we go back even though it isn’t the same. I plan on getting a photo of Little Miss, Peter & Wendy to put in it and again frame it on her bedroom wall. Finally, I picked up this “best mom” postcard because it was 0.99e, I may give it to my own mum, I may keep it. I haven’t decided yet.
As usual I could have spent so much more if I wasn’t being sensible. But we’ll be back, in 70 days!

You both picked out some lovely bits! I can’t wait to be able to take my daughter to Disneyland!

I’m surprised at the cost of some of the gifts, I would have expected them to be a little more. I’m taking my kids in the summer, so it gives me some good ideas. Although I may have to find some different things for my son! And my guess is – Disney don’t do MineCraft…
