Blogger Eating In Cook Off Challenge
When I was contacted asking if I’d like to take part in a Blogger Cook Off Challenge I jumped at the chance. I LOVE cook off challenges and this seemed right up my street. Anyway, for a bit of background information, the Kick My Habits research with Leeds Building Society shows that the average Brit spends £17.34 per week on eating out which racks up to an amazing £901.68! My challenge is to create a fun meal in for £10, saving myself £7.34 which over a year would mean an extra £382 in my pocket (to spend on other things of course!) Even though I have a kid and don’t…

Canvas Design Review*
Since getting my own place last July, I’ve been desperately trying to put my own stamp on it. This is the first house I’ve ever had that isn’t shared with flatmates or a guy so everything I choose to have, is my decision. It’s been an exciting journey that is by no means over, I still have carpets i’d like to replace, walls to paint and furniture to buy. But my favourite part is the personal touches. I love picking out photo frames, art for the walls, vases and ornaments, it’s the bits like that that really make the place yours. So when the chance came up to have one…

Mr Nutcase Personalised Phone Case Review
I have such a busy day with Little Miss today. We were out the house by ten and walking into town since the sun was shining for once. We spent a few hours trailing the shops, Little Miss wanted her cereal bars, she also needed more pull ups. I wanted to look around the charity shops for the rest of my outfit for my birthday Murder Mystery, and thankfully I did get everything woo! We had lunch in an old fish and chip shop since I’m pretty broke this week. It was Little Miss’ first experience of seaside chips and she seemed to enjoy them. Then we came home for…

Recipe No. 22 Ham & Cheese Mini Muffins
I’m not really sure what has been wrong with me tonight, but I’ve been in a right sorting out mood. I’ve gone through all my drawers and little nooks, throwing out stuff and rearranging. I feel so much better for it too! I started upstairs this morning and then this evening I tackled downstairs. I have a whole new pile to sell on eBay next month and a load of recycling to go into the bin tomorrow. If I wasn’t on a spending ban I’d be ordering bits and pieces to finish off my house, yes I’m in that kind of mood. Maybe that’s what I’ll spend my eBay money…

The Mummy Tag
I am so tired this evening so I thought i’d do a simple tag, The Mummy Tag. I’ve been tagged by my best friend Bee from over at Journeys are my Diary. A very old photo of us, the only one I can warrant sharing as she doesn’t really look like this anymore! 1. Are you a stay at home mum or a working mum? Currently a stay at home mum, although I do use my blog and writing in general as a source of income. I feel so blessed that I’m able to spend time with my daughter, my mother was a stay at home mum until I was…

Adventuring in Louth
The past three days I’ve been lucky enough to be in the company of my best friend Bee and her family. As my mother works in a school, unless I’m ill or have something important to do, she rarely has Little Miss for me, and she never had her over night, except when she’s on holiday which has been for the last week. So on Wednesday I caught the train down the country at 8:10am to make sure I made the most of the time I had. I arrived just before lunchtime and spent my first day catching up as I hadn’t seen Bee since a few days before Christmas.…
