Glasses Direct Prescription Lense Sunglasses Review
Scout Marilyn in Black/Purple* £75, Glasses Direct |
These gorgeous sunglasses from Glasses Direct have already made their debut last week on the blog in my first outdoor outfit of the day post! But they definitely need a post of their own, especially since they’re another of my new favourite accessory for summer, prescription lense sunglasses! I honestly don’t know how I survived previous summers without them, as now my Primark sunnies are discarded in the drawer! I probably won’t ever use them again!
So anyway, a little more about the sunglasses themselves. They’re by a designer called Scout which I have heard of before as my mum has a Scout pair of regular glasses and she’s had them for years so when I picked them out, I knew they’d be of good quality. They come in the above black/purple or tortoiseshell (which is currently sold out) but I wanted the purple pair anyway. They come with a free dark tint and it’s no extra cost to have your prescription put in, so although they’re £75, for a named pair of sunnies, that isn’t too costly.
Although they’re plastic frames they feel very durable and come in a protective hard case with a cloth to keep them finger print free (which is still hard work if you have a toddler!) I love the cat eye/wayfarer style as it’s a combination of my two favourite classes shape, I also think it looks incredibly girly (something i’m all about).
I’m incredibly pleased with my choice and how simple it was to order them. Glasses Direct has a fool proof order system that helps you enter your prescription correctly. They also have a great selection of styles, brands, sunglasses and regular glasses for both male and female. At the moment they even have a 2 for 1 offer on, and if you invite a friend you receive a £40 off voucher! You can also trial particular styles of glasses before you purchase, meaning you should always have something that suits your face shape.
Would you buy glasses/sunglasses online or do you prefer to go to a store?
