    #ChristmasJumperDay 2015

    December 18, 2015 /

In the UK today it’s #ChristmasJumperDay an annual tradition where you don your Christmas jumper (the uglier the better) and donate to charity. Not just any charity, but Save the Children. Every year since LM was a baby we’ve taken part but it’s only the last two years we’ve had these adorkable matching sweaters from Asda. When we purchased them a percentage of the sales went straight to Save the Children. They’re actually for men and LM’s is for a boy, but we don’t care! Today I matched ours with tartan. Mine, a tartan dress I bought years ago from ASOS and LM’s a pair of leggings from Cutie Pie…

    LM’s Fav Christmas Books

    December 17, 2015 /

In our house we don’t have Christmas books & DVDs available all year around, they get packed away with the Christmas tree meaning that when I put the tree up LM is able to get them out. This stops me getting too annoyed when I have to read or watch them over and over again during the Christmas period. Every year I add a few more of each to our collection. Ever since our tree went up I’ve been reading one book/story (as some of our books have multiple stories in) a night to LM at bedtime so last night I asked her to pick her favourites and give me…

A New Year, A New Start*

    December 16, 2015 /

With the end of the year approaching it’s natural to start thinking about what 2016 is going to bring. I know a lot of people nowadays feel quite disillusioned about this, with the way the country is at the moment it does feel very like “same stuff, different year” but I’m always hopeful when I new year starts and I do start out wanting to better myself and be happier than the year before. Of course I will be doing a post all about my resolutions, both life and blogging on New Years day which is my tradition, but today I’m going to share some crazy ideas for how you…

Lifestyle Content // How Much Sleep Do You Need?*

    December 16, 2015 /

Just like food and water, a good night’s sleep is imperative to your health. Too little sleep causes your immune system to weaken and concentration to fade, while making it more likely for you to be irritable and even depressed. On the other hand, too much sleep is linked to depression and a host of physical ailments. So how much sleep, at what stage of life, is enough? Make Sleep a Priority Throughout life, sleep should be viewed as a necessity rather than luxury. Set your sleep quarters up accordingly, with sufficient curtains, and a lack of clutter. Even children require a mattress to support their tiny bodies, so make…

Home Content // Thinking About Spring*

    December 15, 2015 /

Although we are now in the middle of winter it doesn’t stop me looking forward to Spring. Spring is my favourite season, I love seeing everything come alive after the winter and the greenery returning to my hometown. And of course, my birthday is in Spring. Thinking about Spring is a must if you have a garden, especially if you plan on growing produce which is something I do. Getting your garden ready for growing fruit and veg can start as early as the Autumn so you do have to make sure you do your research. My mum is very green fingered and we do try to get Little Miss…

    Sing Along Elsa Review*

    December 14, 2015 /

Last week Santa Claus paid an early visit to Little Miss! Because she’d been so good this year, Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves left a little present under the tree for LM as a special extra. She was so excited to find it was the Sing Along With Elsa doll she’d recently seen on the TV! I was actually sent the doll to review and as I don’t believe in giving LM big presents for no reason, it seemed a good idea to have it come early from Santa Claus. She really has been an angel this year and I do believe in regarding good behavior, however I didn’t…
