Wish You Were Here – Edinburgh
The week before Christmas I had a friend visiting from the US, she was staying for a couple of nights at my house but we decided to spend both the days taking the train up to Edinburgh. She particularly wanted to visit the castle. I haven’t visited the castle since I was a child so despite the hefty ticket price (£16 for an adult) I was looking forward to it. It was so cold but fair, a real winters day when we headed up for a look around. I managed to take some wonderful photos and I thought i’d share them today. I do love castles and history so it was a great experience, the view alone was worth a good percentage of the entrance fee.
Edinburgh is beautiful, definitely one of my favourite cities, right up there with New York and Paris. I love all the little back streets and there is always something going on. I feel so lucky to live close to such a wonderful place. On the second day we ventured along Princes Street and to the Christmas market. We also bumped into some of my favourite bloggers, Donna, Kirsty and Erica!
I did want to do an outfit post but due to having little sleep last night, Little Miss and I are having a pjs and movie day. I know this is a short post, but I really hope you find it sweet. Have a good weekend x

I love any city that is entrenched in history and Edinburgh is no exception – been there many a time for a visit and it never fails to get boring!

Ah I just did a post on going to Edinburgh! It’s one of my favourite cities too. I’m a geography girl so I love going to the castle and looking at how its a crag and tail and all that. It’s a truly stunning city. Lovely photos! Was the pricey ticket worth it in the end? I’ve never been inside the actual castle.
