Goodbye Three
Today is Little Miss’ last day as a three year old. Tomorrow it’s her 4th birthday. To me, four seems so much older than three. Last year when she went from two to three it didn’t feel like as a big a step. Three still feels like a baby age, or at least a toddler age. But lets face it, four is a big step. At four she’s going to start big school, and wear a uniform and be away from me 6 hours a day for 5 days a week. And I’m dreading it. I’m not ready for that baby stage to be over with in case I never…

Little Miss Cosplays Part Four
Today we attempted to take some more photos of Little Miss cosplaying. It’s really hard this time a year because of how dark my sitting room is where I usually take the photos. In fact, today especially it’s a no go due to the storm that has been raging for the past two days. So I cleared a space in the kitchen and managed to get some. I’m not completely happy with them but we did get some that were too adorable not to share. I’m really hoping that once the weather improves we can do a few outdoor photoshoots over the next year and maybe even some of our…

12 Months of Little Miss
And thus my round up posts begin. Today I’m starting with a picture from each of the past 12 months of Little Miss. I would say this is the year she transitioned fully from a baby to a little girl. She started to learn to write her own name, she became fully toilet trained even on holiday, her speech and understanding of the world came on leaps and bounds. She started to develope a real personality with her own likes and dislikes. She got her first crush, she made some real friends and she fell completely in love with Disney World. I won’t lie, putting together these little picture collages…

Fun Things To Do With Younger Children*
There are a lot of things that I have learnt since becoming a mother. There are two things that stand out to me, though. One is patience and knowing that one little person is completely dependent on me. It can be quite an overwhelming thought when I say it like that! The other thing that stands out to me is that time flies. It zooms by and I can hardly believe it. It doesn’t feel like long ago that I was pregnant, buying all sorts from the baby store and then bringing home my new baby. For a little bit of a sentimental post, I just thought I would share…

Little Miss’ Christmas Eve Box
So tomorrow is the start of a very chaotic three days so tonight I’ve been chilling with a class of raspberry vodka & lemonade while watching Man Finds Food. I’ve also been clearning my phone memory and my memory cards so I’m ready to take as many photos as I can (or at least as I remember to). It really is the calm before the storm. One thing I’ve done this evening is put together Little Miss’ Christmas eve box, a tradition I started last year. On Christmas eve morning she’ll come down to find the above box filled with everything to get her Christmas off to a good start.…

Festive Things to Do with Kids Before Christmas
Yesterday Little Miss broke up for 2 weeks over Christmas, which of course, I’m used to. However this year she has 6 full days before the big day itself. For a little three year old, that’s a lot of time to fill when you’re waiting for Christmas and now that she knows she doesn’t go back to school until it’s over, she’s hyper and bored. Since her birthday is in January she hasn’t really had anything new to play with since then. She’s read all her books, filled all her colouring pages, she knows how to do all her jigsaws like the back of her hand. The playdoh has dried…
