What We Did for Summer 2018
This week summer officially ends for me, as Little Miss goes back to school. It’s not the weather, or the light nights, days at the beach or barbecues that define summer for me, it’s having LM off for six whole weeks. At time they feel like they stretch for years, but then it’s over in the blink of an eye and I wonder why I was so worried about them. This was the first summer I truly struggled. Keeping Kids Entertained in the School Holidays*
If you live in England this week sees you half way through the summer holidays. Sad huh? Half the parents out there will be dreading the day they ship their precious little ones back to school (me), the other half can’t wait to watch their kids skip in and rush home to put the flags out (my sister). Our Summer 2016 Bucket List
For almost a week we’ve seen the sun and it’s been wonderful. My mum says we’re back to rain and freezing weather by the end of the week, which is a little heart breaking but in the mean time, I’m looking to summer and what I’d like to do this year. Inspired by Louise’s Summer Listings post, I’ve put together my own bucket list for the summer. Spend more time outside. Teach Little Miss to ride a bike. Make use of the beach on our doorstep. 2015 Summer Seaside Festival
This weekend it was out local seaside festival. One of my favourite weekends of the whole summer, even more so this year because we had beautiful sunshine! My parents live in the village where it is held, just around the corner from the promenade. Little Miss loves it more with each passing year. I took my camera both days, Saturday I mainly photographed Little Miss and my nephew, however today my mum let me walk along child free so I could take some more photos to share on the blog. Fun Outdoor Activities to Try this Summer with Kids*
We’re just starting the third week of the summer holidays and according to my mum, the hot weather it on it’s way (I’ll believe it when I see it) so I’m still hanging onto my plans to try and do as much as possibly outdoors with Little Miss. Our Summer Bucket List*
Today is the first day of the six weeks summer holidays. I have been both dreading and feeling incredibly excited about this holiday. It’s LM’s first time ever being off for the whole lot since the past two years we’ve paid for her to attend pre-school but now because she’s on funding she doesn’t get anything towards her time there.
