2015 Summer Seaside Festival
This weekend it was out local seaside festival. One of my favourite weekends of the whole summer, even more so this year because we had beautiful sunshine! My parents live in the village where it is held, just around the corner from the promenade. Little Miss loves it more with each passing year. I took my camera both days, Saturday I mainly photographed Little Miss and my nephew, however today my mum let me walk along child free so I could take some more photos to share on the blog. Typically today when I took my camera out properly the weather wasn’t half as nice and even threatened a thunderstorm so you really can tell which day I took which photos on!
As you can see it has all the traditional seaside attractions, some are often found here on the sea front in the summer, but some only appear on this particular weekend, like all the food vans, the funfair and the carboot sale. I love the fact that people come dressed up to enjoy it and this year there was even a special pirate theme. Little Miss particularly loves the funfair. She had two goes on the teacups and two on the round about. She also had and ice cream and a frozen cake. My dad bought my mum and I burgers and Pimms.
Although, I love this festival in itself, especially when I could see how busy it was this year meaning it’s growing in popularity, I love the fact I get to spend it with my parents. Had I stayed away from home this wouldn’t be something I’d get to enjoy, something Little Miss wouldn’t get to enjoy. It reminds me how much I like them seeing her growing up.
This is actually my second favourite local festival of the year, at the beginning of next month it’s the food and beer festival which I’ll be enjoying with Kariss and Hayley. Cannot wait to introduce them to it and no doubt Little Miss will be loving the live music like she did last year!
