Looking Back on July 2016
Yay, July is just about over. I really did not get on well mentally with July as I wanted, with having 5 weekends and not spending as much time with my boyfriend as I had in May & June I really struggled with feeling lonely, anxiety and paranoia. I saw him the first weekend and as this post goes live I’ll be in the Peak District celebrating his birthday with a weekend break together. I just may be in the private hot tub. I got so used to seeing him all the time that it was a definite shock to the system this month. But hopefully June will be better.…

10 Things I Love About My Cat
Today is apparently “World Animal Day” I know, I know, it’s a different celebration almost daily now but it’s been a while since I talked about just how much I love my pet cat, Elsa Arya. I think being away from her for almost 2 weeks really made me realise just how big a part of my life she is. And all my family should be thankful she was here because it gave me a reason to come home. We’ve had Elsa a year next month. She’s a pure bred blue point ragdoll and I just really love her. Why Your Children Should Grow Up Around Pets
All children should live in a caring and loving environment – one that respects all forms of life – and having pets is a great way to introduce the concept of caring for others. It might be a dog, cat or even a goldfish, but by allowing your child to help with taking care of the animal will also instil responsibility. Ideally, the family pet is part of the family and should therefore be given the same respect as the human family members and by demonstrating love and affection towards the family pet, you are encouraging this in your child. Fostering Care and Responsibility The pet would be a central…

Why My Cat is Helping My Insomnia
Last January I shared my experience with insomnia. A quick recap is that it’s something i’ve dealt with since I was thirteen and it usually raises it’s ugly head when i’m stressed or worried.. but sometimes it’s just there. I’ve always found it stressful in itself which usually gets me stuck in a loop of worried and stressed in case I can’t sleep results in being unable to sleep. It also seems to be more prominent at this time of year for reasons unknown and I do take medication for it, but sometimes it doesn’t help. And I have even tried more alternative methods to help me sleep, such as…
