Does A Stitch In Time Really Save Nine? *
It’s come to that time of year again where people start thinking about Halloween costumes, for me it’s been a long time since I personally had to think of my own Halloween costume. Last year I had Little Miss who was dressed as a very cute make shift pumpkin fairy, the year before I was heavily pregnant. Before that I went through a phase of following the Mean Girls “slut” rule, back then I very much had the body for it so it’s been quite a while since I dressed up for Halloween in more than a pair of animal ears from Claires. Thankfully I didn’t have to really put…

#218 Biotherm Blue Therapy Night Serum-In-Oil Review
These days I feel there is so much more emphasis on using anti aging products from a young age but I have to admit I never even considered it until I started blogging last year. I think the main reason for this is because my mum doesn’t, she swears only by Nivea Soft and Johnsons Clean & Clear. That is the extend of her beauty regime and I have to admit, she doesn’t look bad for 52. Unfortunately, since becoming a single parent, or simply a parent, I have noticed that I look tired all the time, actually the only word to describe how I look when I don’t have…

Easy King Prawn Spaghetti Recipe
This weeks recipe is one of my favourite quick easy meals, although it’s not exactly that cheap as king prawns are quite expensive, but when I made this last week I’d picked these prawns up for £1.99 as they were reduced. They were fresh and I had originally decided to freeze them but then when time wasn’t on my side I used them to rustle up a tasty, filling and very quick dinner for myself. I love king prawns so much, I love them in Chinese food, Thai food, in a creamy garlic sauce with fresh bread a la Bee, but I love them most in pasta or risotto dishes.…

#215 Shopping Spotlight – Bits and Bows Boutique
WARNING, this is an outfit post.. and we all know how dreadful I look in outfit posts. I really can’t decide if it’s because my camera is rubbish, my tripod isn’t tall enough, I have no good lights, I’m rubbish or I’m just not photogenic. But anyway, here are some rubbish photos as ever. In January I am going to take a proper camera course and hopefully by then I’ll be able to afford a DSLR to take with my to class. But for today… I have more photos that do not justify the lovely dress. The outfit is completely Jess Day of New Girl inspired, as I’m currently addicted…

The Heart of the Truest Believer?
I guess this post is a continuation of my post on my mid twenties fear. I have now been single for the longest time since I was wow.. probably seventeen. We’re coming up to the year and a half point, which in hindsight probably isn’t that long, but I’m now in my mid-twenties with some incredibly cute baggage. I jumped from relationship to relationship, some more real than others. Some.. purely sex, some I thought were the “real” thing. After my last terrible relationship, I think I’ve ended up being pretty jaded. Perhaps even hopeless is a word to describe how I feel about the chance of ever being in…

Paris Planning
As i’ve mentioned a million times, i’m heading off to Paris for a few days at the end of the month. When i’m having a bad day, this is one of the things that keeps me going. Today hasn’t been a great day so this evening I sat on my phone browsing Pinterest for some ideas on where I’d like to visit when I’m there. I’m going with the truly lovely Hayley from Strangeness & Charm and she has made it very clear the places she wants to visit; the catacombs, Musee d’Orsay, Paris’ cat cafe & La Favourite Cafe. I’m cool with all of these although I’ll probably be…
