Disney’s Finding Dory Big Sleeve Edition Review

For me there is no gift like a Disney gift, and on the November 28th Disney are releasing something that will make those movies an even bigger and better gift to give. I was delighted to receive a copy of Finding Dory in this new format which I cannot wait to give to Little Miss for Christmas. I present to you all, Disney’s Big Sleeve Editions!

So what are The Big Sleeve Editions? Inside a 12″ vinyl sleeve you’ll find a DVD copy & a Blu-Ray copy of the movie along with some stunning bespoke art work all for £19.99. Not only that but some of the titles released also come with a third disk with bonus material, like this Finding Dory edition. When you think about the price of a Blu-Ray disk alone you can already see that these are good value for money. Initial titles for launch on the 28th are a mixture of classics and new releases; Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Cinderella, Guardians of the Galaxy and of course Finding Dory but there are further releases planned for 2017 so keep an eye out for your favourite making it into this great new format.

Like with a lot of Disney merchandise, these are expected to become highly collectable in the future (remember the crazy over the Disney o-rings?) so at this price they’re worth investing in!

Every inch of the sleeve is covered in beautiful artwork which is why I can imagine it’ll make a great gift for any Disney fan. I can only imagine how amazing the ones for movies such as Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast will be as the cinematography from those two would lend to some beautiful covers.

The three disks are secure inside the cardboard and as the sleeve fits effortlessly into it’s cardboard holder I don’t have fear of the disks slipping out and becoming lost. The exclusive prints slide in and out of the front cover which is sturdy enough to stop them from becoming bent or damaged.

The four prints themselves are bright, colourful and would look great hung up if you aren’t into keeping them for collectable reasons. With them being 12″ you can easily pick up frames used to display records as they’re the same size.
