6 Things I Love About Autumn at Disneyland Paris
It’s so hard right now to make yourself stand out in the sea of Disney bloggers and youTubers. I don’t have an Annual Pass to any parks, I don’t vlog but I have been so desperate for this niche of blogging that it’s really hard right now being so invisible. So today I’ve set aside all the work I have to do, and posts I have to write to write something I want to write (that’s a lot of “write”s in one sentence!) which is why I love Autumn at Disneyland Paris.
Unfortunately this year we won’t make it for Autumn and Halloween, we’re in Walt Disney World most of October and I just won’t have the money, however I’m hoping to go during the holiday season as I’ve never done Christmas at Disney. But it’s nice to look back on how wonderful that time of year was when we visited last October. If you’re off to Disneyland Paris this Halloween season (which is from the 1st October to the 2nd November) I really hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Jack Skellington is Out
One of Little Miss’ favourite characters to meet is Jack Skellington after meeting him for the first time in Disneyland Paris last year. She had a Sally style dress on her and he made such a fuss despite her initial anxiety. She was laughing within seconds and now she’s so excited to meet him along with Sally in Walt Disney World. He had her pulling scary faces (something she’s not great at) and he hugged her for as long as she needed. Plus his set up is great with the Phantom Manor in the background.
Vive la Vie
Just writing Vive La Vie has got the incredibly catchy song stuck in my head. I do love in Disneyland Paris the fact they have a mini parade that goes through the park a few times a day, it really adds to the atmosphere. So far I’ve only see the on during Spring into Swing and the Autumn parade, and by FAR Vive la Vie is my favourite. I love the floats, the colours, Daisy Duck working it, and of course the song.
Magic on Parade at Dusk
I love watching Disney Magic on Parade at dusk because it just seems a little more magical. Autumn is a great time to see it when the sun is going down and the lights are all sparkling. I’ve seen it in the late spring, winter and of course autumn and seeing it when the sky is pink behind the castle really is magical. It’s so different from watching the day time parade in Walt Disney World which 90% of the time runs at 3pm!
Character’s in Costume
In Walt Disney World, you can pretty much only see characters dressed up during the ticketed Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, you get 5 hours to meet as many as possible which is hard work with a tot, however in Disneyland Paris the fab five as well as some other core characters such as Marie and Stitch are in costume and out during the day. Not only that but last year they gave out sweets! Little Miss felt like she’d been Trick or Treating while just going up for hugs. It was really quite magical and such a nice addition.
The Decorations
Finally, I love when the park is all decked out for Halloween and Autumn. There are scarecrows and pumpkins at every turn and I love the orange and reds in contrast to the pastel shades of a lot of the park. My favourite addition is of course the forest of thorns at the back of Sleeping Beauty Castle where you can meet Maleficent at certain intervals throughout the day. I just love the thorns just because they’re part of the story of Sleeping Beauty. So well thought out.
It’s Good to Be Bad Villain’s Show
I don’t have any photos of this due to the one time I got close enough to watch it and taking photos it was spitting on rain, bye bye DSLR. However it’s amazing and if you haven’t seen the video of Gaston shaking his hips and this one in English, you’re missing out! Also Frollo is in it! The only thing I hate is how the characters come down afterwards and it’s a mad dash to meet them, not order and when you have a small child it can be terrifying. It’s still worth a watch though and if you have a break and snack around by It’s a Small World you can see the characters making their way to and from the stage.

I absolutely love Disneyland Paris, but am yet to visit at Halloween – it looks amazing! I’m hoping to go during the Christmas celebrations this year (which I haven’t done before either) & am so so excited!
