Getting The House Summer Ready*
As I mentioned in yesterdays Mid Year Round Up post, Saturday past saw one year since I officially moved into my home. I also mentioned since I moved I have done very little to make it feel like a “finished” product. We the year mark passing I’ve had an urge to do some more home improvements and I thought i’d share my plans with my readers, who if you followed Cocktails in Teacups last year will know all about my home from my house tours. With the change of season I always feel like there are certain ways to improve your home. In the winter I want thicker bedding and…

Mid Year Round Up 2014
In case you haven’t realised yet, I have a new layout! That I put together myself. For the first time in the history of Cocktails in Teacups I have a new colour scheme! My favourite colour is actually teal/turquoise so I decided to go with that. The drawing was done by my little sister Erin, she’s a fantastic artist but doesn’t have the time with a full time job and a toddler. She’s far too flattering when it comes to her cartoons but I promised I’d use it! I feel like it’s so much easier to navigate now and I won’t lie, I’m so proud of it! Anyway, I almost…

Parenting Content // Should You Have a TV in Your Child’s Bedroom?*
There are all sorts of different views from parents on if and when you should introduce a television in your child’s bedroom. Outfit of the Day – Legs Are Required for Jumping, Dancing
Today I’m sharing with you the first ever outfit of the day not taken in my kitchen! Last week I finally felt brave enough to head out into the big wide world armed with my camera and my tripod to shoot an outfit of the day IN PUBLIC! As Little Miss was at nursery I went down to the beach which due to it being so windy was pretty dead, thank goodness! I did feel awkward and it was so sunny (hence the sunglasses!) but I did it, and you know what? I want to do it again! I want my photography skills to improve even if that means making…

30 Days of Disney Instagram Challenge
Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about 100 Happy Days, I would just rather post more Disney haha. In June I took part in 30 Days of Disney over on Instagram and although I did forget a couple of days, instead of giving up I went back and caught up. I knew this would be one of the only Instagram challenges I would make the effort to complete and since I did, I decided to share it here, because after all, Cocktails in Teacups can never have enough Disney posts. Day 1, Favourite Movie – Tangled Day 2, Favourite Song – I Won’t Say (I’m In Love) from Hercules Day 3,…

The Warner Brothers Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter
Back in May I FINALLY got to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour for my best friend Bee‘s birthday. I have been wanting to go for ages so when she suggested that I went with them as there was space in the car I was there despite it being two days after getting back from DLP. We set off very early in the morning and stopped half way down for a Little Chef breakfast and arrived an hour or so before our booking time of three pm. I had Little Miss with me due to the fact my parents were away for the weekend, although I know in hindsight…
