#77 The Infamous Spending Ban
So.. due to having a dreadful 2013 so far (it honestly gets worse every week) I have basically shopped and shopped until I have started to feel better.. and then I shopped some more. However my savings are now dwindling and with a new home on the horizon, I thought it was best that I started to get some money back in the bank. Therefore from today, I will be on a spending ban for the next month! I honestly wish I could just cut down my spending but i’m either an all or nothing kinda girl. It would be nice if I could just buy one thing a week…

Ode to my Mother
I wanted a witty title, or maybe a quote.. but I left writing this so late due to baking a ton of cupcakes and taking part in the twitter chats. I’ve had two busy days, the bad luck is still haunting me (missed my train yesterday and my nephew ended up getting sick so my sister couldn’t come today) but they have still had their good moments. I want to do a haul post later on this week and then I can talk about yesterday. Today I want to blog about mothers day and my amazing mum. First things first, I want to say that although I was a mother…

#66 Wish You Were Here – Lincoln in February
I worked out the other day, I have spent one fifth of my life living in Lincoln. I love the place and it would of been a lovely place to raise my daughter had things worked out differently. However I’m now lucky that every couple of months I get to go back and visit friends, i’m lucky that I get to “holiday” so often in such a great place. On Friday I took the train down for some premature birthday celebrations with my two ex housemates. I had a wonderful weekend filled with a lot of food, a lot of alcohol and a lot of shopping. The weather wasn’t great,…

#63 An issue kept quiet; domestic abuse
The statistics say that this is one of the most under reported crimes, that nowadays one in four women and one in six men will suffer abuse at the hand of a loved one. Maybe this isn’t a smart move, to post about what i’ve been through on a public blog but finally I feel brave enough to speak out in hope somewhere out there I can help someone who hasn’t yet escaped a situation that was once so familiar to me. It’s hard to even write this knowing there could be consequences from a certain someone, who I’m sure still traces my every movement. Maybe this will clear up…

#57 Let’s go to the movies, let’s go see the stars!
In honor of the BAFTAs this evening, I thought I’d share the list of movies I am hoping to see at some point in 2013. I’m sat with a top knot in my hair and pjs on, gorging on nutella on toast (well my one slice treat) wishing I was dolled up to the nines sat in the audience, but since I’m not, I feel like writing about movies and of course maybe I could come back to the list at the end of the year and see how many I did manage to see be it on DVD or if i’m lucky in the cinema. I’m going to the…
