National Best Friends Day
My “to write” posts are really getting on top of me at the moment, so expect a couple of days next week to have two! However ever today, since it’s National Best Friends day, I had to bring you all another post about my wonderful friends, in particular, my best friends. I know I’ve wrote a few posts about my best friends, or at least, I’ve included them in a lot of my more personal posts, but sometimes just feel like I need to give them a shout out for being so awesome. Originally Bee and I were going to do a guest post swap, but I completely forgot today…

Two Years On
I had another kind of post planned for tonight but as I’m feeling sort of melancholy and I’m waiting on LM to fall asleep before I sneak up for a bath, I wanted to write about something that has been in the forefront of my mind for the past couple of weeks. Not dominating or anything, but there, that little niggle. Two years ago last week I text my best friend to come and get me. Two years since I walked away from a domestically abusive relationship. It’s still hard to say, sometimes I barely even believe it was me it happened to. You hear all those stories but you…

Insta-Month May
Quesadillas for Cinco de Mayo // Ariel inspired look // Teapigs Tea at Bloggers Teaspoon Second Crown & Glory Mystery Box // My Princess Pendent Necklace from DYO Fabulous Jewellery // My gorgeous canvas from Red Canvas Ltd Sleeping Beauty Castle selfie // Harry Potter-ed up // With my bestie Bee, there are too few photos of us! The highlights were… Uhh Disneyland Paris, obviously. It was beyond amazing. Looking forward to blogging all about it. Seeing my best friend Bee twice, once for Eurovision and once this weekend past where we went to the Harry Potter Studios Tour and endured (yes, endured) the funniest, filthiest Murder Mystery to date!…

Paul Mitchell Neuro Styling Event in Newcastle
So yesterday I was kindly invited to one of the Gary Hedley Salons for the Paul Mitchell Intelligent Styling Event. I haven’t been to an actual even since last year and so far only two blog meets so needless to say, I was excited. I met up with a few other bloggers at the entrance to Eldon Square before we all nervously headed down to the salon, not really knowing what to expect. It was a really intimate event and we were welcomed warmly. Instantly supplied with drinks and offered canapes. There were a few bloggers there I recognised but we were surrounded by stylists and models so it was…

Bloggers Teaspoon Social in Aid of Lupus
On Saturday I attended my second blogger event in recent months and it was a good one! Hosted by the lovely Rachel of Happy Little Syllables & Becca of The Polka Dot Notebook in aid of Lupus, the Bloggers Teaspoon was a truly delightful afternoon tea party and I feel so happy to have attended and help raise money. It was held in one of my old haunts from my time spent living in Newcastle, The Salsa Cafe, my ex and I spent plenty of evenings in there before or after the cinema, so it was nice to return. We were treated to tea by Teapigs, cakes, nibbles, chatting and…

WLTM TDH with GSOH* – #3dates3mths 2nd Month Update
*Would like to meet, tall dark and handsome with good sense of humour. Right, I just had this ingenious idea on how I can meet my true love this morning while watching Frozen. I’ve decided I need to get myself cursed by a witch/wizard/aliment.. In fairy tales, Disney movies and even Once Upon a Time, true loves kiss fixes everything. But my theory is that if I get myself cursed then my friends and family line up eligible men to kiss me (I know, what a long shot) and the one that breaks the curse is obviously my true love! Saves all this trying to find dates and uncertainty as…
