Mid Year Round Up 2014
In case you haven’t realised yet, I have a new layout! That I put together myself. For the first time in the history of Cocktails in Teacups I have a new colour scheme! My favourite colour is actually teal/turquoise so I decided to go with that. The drawing was done by my little sister Erin, she’s a fantastic artist but doesn’t have the time with a full time job and a toddler. She’s far too flattering when it comes to her cartoons but I promised I’d use it! I feel like it’s so much easier to navigate now and I won’t lie, I’m so proud of it! Anyway, I almost…

In Which We Say Goodbye To #3dates3mths
Back in February I agreed to take part in Just Singles #3dates3mths, and here I am finally at the end of my challenge. And ho hum, I’m still single. But I won’t lie, I would’t say I was the same person back then. Last month I took on my last challenge. A tour in Edinburgh and unfortunately I have little to say on it. I ended up in a group of mainly couples and the two guys who weren’t both had girlfriends back in Australia! I guess it was a good idea although it was a little fruitless. Oh well, like Carrie in Sex and the City, I can be…

Happy Birthday Mum
Today is my mum’s birthday, and I didn’t want the day to go by without a shoutout to her. She is the most amazing woman before and I know i’ve mentioned this many times in other such posts, but she is my inspiration to be the mother I am. She has dedicated her whole life to her family, from when she was a child and lived at home with her parents and four siblings, to when she married my dad and raised my sister and I. And now she’s a wonderful grandmother to my daughter. She also looks after children in a pre-school that she is head of. She is…

We’re All The Boss with GiffGaff, My Boss Story
When I was contacted earlier this month about the We’re All The Boss campaign by GiffGaff, I was instantly on board as I think it will make such an interesting lifestyle blog post. For the first time in my whole life, I am 100% my own boss. Not just in regards to working from home, but I control my life completely. This is a huge deal for me and at first I was terrified I’d hate it, hate having no one else to make decisions for me.. but I have to admit, I love it. Before this home I had a home with a boyfriend, then an ex student rental…
