Home Content // Personalising Your Home for Your Own Unique Life*
I often find people make their home fit for someone else, rather than themselves. Shouldn’t your home reflect who you are and what you adore? Obviously it ought to! If you’re not certain how to communicate your life through your stylistic theme, here are a few of my thoughts that may give you the certainty you are looking for. Your Colour Hues and Combinations Try not to be too conservative — declare your most loved colours with a bit of dynamism and combine them beautifully – here are some great ideas from housetohome. Your bedrooms and bathrooms are perhaps the best places to get striking with your colour choices. Disregard…

February Half-Term Break Ideas*
Like most parents, I am a big believer in travelling with children. Not only is seeing new places exciting and enriching for them, but holidays are also perfect for family bonding. I love taking time out to take my daughter on vacation, but sadly, money can sometimes be an issue. However, like most parents, I do try to take her away at least once or twice a year. The key to success when organising the perfect family holiday is booking in advance. This is especially true when it comes to traveling during the school holidays, as the earlier you book, the more affordable it is. In case you fancy getting…

Christmas Traditions
This year I haven’t felt even remotely Christmassy and I think a lot of it is due to the fact LM has been at pre-school 5 days a week. Even last year when I lost my grandad I felt more Christmassy than this. It’s terrible. Christmas day is in 4 days and for all I mentally feel like, it will be over before I start to enjoy it. So to help me get into the Christmas spirit, I thought I’d share some Christmas Traditions with you. Putting the Tree Up on the 25th November Yep, we’re heading way back to November now for my first Christmas tradition. I only started…

Disney Bloggers Secret Santa
Without sounding pathetic, I get very few Christmas presents. I don’t get a stocking and my parents buy for my daughter. I do get a few dollars and a gift off LM but thats it. I also have very few friends who buy for me. Because of this I always try and take part in a Secret Santa. For the past two years I have taken part in a Disney Bloggers Secret Santa because that’s what appeals the most to me, and I’d say I’m definitely closest to my fellow Disney Bloggers. Those girls have been a well of inspiration for my blog this past year and I’ve got to…

Festive Things to Do with Kids Before Christmas
Yesterday Little Miss broke up for 2 weeks over Christmas, which of course, I’m used to. However this year she has 6 full days before the big day itself. For a little three year old, that’s a lot of time to fill when you’re waiting for Christmas and now that she knows she doesn’t go back to school until it’s over, she’s hyper and bored. Since her birthday is in January she hasn’t really had anything new to play with since then. She’s read all her books, filled all her colouring pages, she knows how to do all her jigsaws like the back of her hand. The playdoh has dried…

#ChristmasJumperDay 2015
In the UK today it’s #ChristmasJumperDay an annual tradition where you don your Christmas jumper (the uglier the better) and donate to charity. Not just any charity, but Save the Children. Every year since LM was a baby we’ve taken part but it’s only the last two years we’ve had these adorkable matching sweaters from Asda. When we purchased them a percentage of the sales went straight to Save the Children. They’re actually for men and LM’s is for a boy, but we don’t care! Today I matched ours with tartan. Mine, a tartan dress I bought years ago from ASOS and LM’s a pair of leggings from Cutie Pie…
