10 Must Do Things at Animal Kingdom (5 Fast Pass, 5 Non Fast Pass)

    January 12, 2016 /

It’s been a while since I did my last 10 Must Do Things post for Walt Disney World and I figured since we’re off back in just over 50 days I should maybe look at what I actually want to do. These posts help me as much as I write them to help other people. Today I’m looking at Animal Kingdom. Unlike Magic Kingdom there isn’t a huge selection of rides and attractions but there is definitely enough for one or two days and there are some things you must do if you are only ever planning on visiting Walt Disney World once in your life! Animal Kingdom doesn’t receive…

Things to Do With Kids – Building a Fort*

    January 11, 2016 /

As I’m focusing on parenting on this blog, I thought I’d share some of the things Little Miss and I enjoy doing together. As it’s just the two of us, we have a very strange relationship especially since I’m incapable of always being the grown up. Due the fact I do have some bad days with anxiety where I don’t want to leave the house, we have to find ways to keep entertained, and one of these is building a fort in the sitting room. It started last summer when my parents were away on holiday. I was really struggling to cope being alone (I see my mum nearly every…

On Why I Really Hate January

    January 10, 2016 /

Although this morning I have a lot of emails to reply to from the past few days, I didn’t feel like doing them because my head is all overt he place. So instead I’m giving you one of those rambly posts in hope that if I write things down I’ll start to feel better. January always seems to be the time when my mental well being is shot, I explored my insomnia a few years back, and to this date, it’s still worse than ever during this month. I hate January. I haven’t always hated January, just since my mental health has been in decline post-domestic abuse. I’ve mentioned in…

5 UK Cities I Want to Visit in 2016*

    January 9, 2016 /

Just because I like to travel abroad, doesn’t mean I’m any less interested in visiting places in my home country but with the rising cost of train fares (and the rubbish service they offer), if I don’t decide to go 3 months in advance, it ends up being cheaper to go abroad! However, with my love of conventions, I’m hoping this will encourage me to visit different places rather than the same over and over again. Not only that but there are some great places where you can book a UK city break for a great price, like Great Little Breaks, this would be a great way to take the…

Best Places for Shopping Second Hand*

    January 8, 2016 /

One of my big thing for 2016 is to focus on where my money is going and what I’m spending it on, I outlined this in my 2016 Resolutions and Goals. One of the things I want to do more to bring my spending down is buy second hand. Clothes, books and even toys for Little Miss. Not only am I giving unwanted things a new home, but they’re usually a lot cheaper than buying new. The one I am really going to focus on is clothes. There are so many places that you can pick up fab second hand pieces. I am always tempted by pretty new in stores…

5 Adult Things I’m Not Ready For*

    January 7, 2016 /

In March I turn 28. Yes.. 28. Two years from 30. And guess what? I still do not feel like an adult. How I’ve managed not only to keep myself alive, but a small child and a cat, I’ll never know. Some days I still sit around in my pjs, I basically live on supernoodles and coffee (yet my kid has five fruits a day and is a model child in looks and behaviour haha). When it comes to “adulting” I bury my head in the sand and leave everything to the last minute. My hobby includes dressing up and going to conventions. And of course lets not mention I…
