5 Reasons Why You Should Book a Villa for Your Next Holiday*

Well, that’s summer officially over. The leaves are falling, the conkers are coming down and it’s time to go bramble picking. The long winter now lies ahead of us, so a lot of people are thinking about their summer holiday for 2019. This time of year is the planning stage for many families (myself and my parents included) where you decide what kind of a holiday you want next year. Beach or ski? Family or couple? Of course as a parent I’m always in the family category and since I can’t ski I always opt for a bit of guaranteed sun!

If you are a family, especially a family larger than four, you may find a conventional hotel room doesn’t suit. This is why you should consider a villa holiday for 2019. Clickstay have over 70000 properties in 70 countries and they have something for everyone from apartments in the city to ski chalets, and of course villas with a private pool.

And if you’re still not convinced, here are 5 reasons you should book a villa for your next holiday;

Saves Money
People always ask me how I afford to go on holiday as a single parent, and one of my most common answers is, go self catering. Not eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner saves so much money and if you book a villa rather than a hotel room, you’ll be able to do that. Villas are a home away from home, and most, if not all come with a kitchen and maybe even a dining room. You can head to a local supermarket, do a big shop then make breakfast, pack ups for lunch and come back for dinner in the evening.

Freedom
There is nothing like the freedom you get with a villa, especially if you’re renting a car. You don’t have to worry about disturbing or being disturbed by other guests. You can come and go as you please. You have a kitchen at your disposal and somewhere to lounge if you’ve had a busy day. You also don’t have to worry about reception desks, the restaurant or bar being closed.

Space
One of the main reasons people book a villa is for the space. Unless you’re paying out the nose for a massive hotel room, you’ll find most are quite small which can be a nightmare if you’re travelling with kids and have a pushchair, multiple suitcases, car seats and toys. You may all need to share one bathroom, one sink and a few coat hangers. If you need more than one bathroom, you can search for a villa that has one. Most come with storage space for suitcases and there will be multiple places out of the way you can park the pushchair at night. If you find a cramped hotel room stressful, a villa would definitely be for you.

Private Pool
If you’re heading to warmer climates, access to a swimming pool will be incredibly important, however a lot of families don’t want to deal with the crowds. A private villa will often have a pool that only you can use. All the sun loungers will be yours and you’ll have the freedom to use it as you please. For a lot of families this is the number one reason to book a private villa.

Separate Rooms for the Kids
Have you ever had to sit on the floor in the hotel room bathroom while your child tries to get to sleep in the dark room? Because I have and it sucks! Booking a villa would mean your kids would be in their own bedroom. They could head off to bed and sleep before the adults, just as they would at home! No more trying to read by the bathroom light until you’re ready to go to bed, it’s not fun, especially the numb bottom!

So whether you’re looking for a property by the beach or a Clickstay villa in Kissimmee for your Disney World holiday, these are 5 valid reasons you should book up now.
