Generation Earn to Enjoy*
Without a doubt I’m part of the “YOLO” generation. The You Only Live Once mentality is applied to all aspects of our lives, but mostly to the money we earn. Although I am capable of saving, when I have a holiday booked and I need to pay it off, I choose to invest what I earn in a life of adventures and magic for Little Miss and I, because after all, you do only live once and I’d rather make this life the best possible since it is just the two of us. I’m not the only one. You see more and more people spending their money on holidays, flash…

Getting Through Chicken Pox with ViraSoothe*
Remember I mentioned that Little Miss had chicken pox over Easter and I was going to write about it, well here we go. As a parent one of the of childhood viruses you’re constantly on the look out for is the chicken pox. Every parent wants their child to get it but at the same time, they dread it because the amount of work can be daunting. I vaguely remember having chicken pox as a child. I was 7 or 8 and I remember my cheeks being bright red and itchy. I also remember the week off school and the fact we watched ET for the first time. LM fell…

Who Killed Jason Blossom in Riverdale? – My Favourite Theories
In the past I’ve often written about TV shows I’m watching or my favourite moments in a series, but this is my first time commenting on a plot line in a TV show. However, both my sister and I are completely obsessed with Riverdale at the moment particularly with Jughead and Betty and especially with the through line of the entire season of who killed Jason Blossom. If you haven’t started watching the Netflix original series yet, why the hell not? It’s based on the Archie comic books, something I adored growing up (I loved Betty, I was always a Betty, but back then I was all about Betty and…

Little Miss Cosplays – Belle
Growing up we really didn’t have much money. For a long time my mum didn’t work, then when she started to work she went to retrain as a teacher. We didn’t have a car for a long time although both my parents could drive. Until I was 9 I had never been abroad and even our first trip (which was to Walt Disney World) was because my dad had been made redundant. I wouldn’t say we ever went without though. Any spare money my parents had, they spent on my sister and I, and when I became a mother I vowed I would do the same. But as a single…

Looking Back on April 2017
Once again I can hardly believe that’s another month over! I guess because Little Miss was off for two weeks and now my dad’s off the time just seems to be flying. Tomorrow is a bank holiday so LM is sitting in my bed eating left over Easter chocolate and watching her favourite, Hook. The perfect time for photo editing and blogging. This month has been both wonderful and hard. We started the month off in London with one of our friends from Florida and her husband. Prior to her trip we’d only hung out once while she wasn’t at work and I’d never met her husband but they turned…

Take the Stress Out Of Home Renovations*
Building your dream home from scratch can be just that for many people; a dream. Perhaps one day it might happen. But for the majority of us, we have to work with what we’ve got and renovate to get things just as we want them. Other than cost, the upheaval of the home can be enough to put enough people off. Why put yourself through something disorganised and stressful if you don’t really need to? The good news is that renovating your home doesn’t have to end up being a super stressful time with work people in and out of the home, as well as being cut off from things…
