Where Amy (And Little Miss) Ate – Maisies Chocolate Parlour and Crêperie
It’s been a while since I did a Where Amy Ate, but since Little Miss and I have eaten in the same place two weeks in a row I figured I should definitely feature it. I never normally feature anything from my home town, but this place is just too good. Maisies Chocolate Parlour and Crêperie, hidden under the Town Hall in all it’s original features glamour is the new place to go for a treat. At least in our house anyway. If Little Miss is very good while in town before heading home we call in here for some chocolatey goodness. Brilliantly priced for something that is very unique…

Gluten Free American Pancakes with Bacon (and an ice latte on the side) Recipe
Last week when I was contacted to let me know I’d been selected by the International Currency Exchange to enter the Travelling for Food Blogger Cooking Competition, I was so excited.. mainly because I knew exactly what I was going to make. While my parents were in holiday and my sister and I were feeling a little down, she whipped up some delicious gluten free pancakes. Gluten free I hear you ask? Why ever for? My sister has discovered this year that she has a major gluten intolerance so we are trying new recipes to find delicious food that she can eat. We are both huge fans of the state side…

Summer Recipes with Baking Mad
The other week I was sent a hamper of goodies c/o Baking Mad which was actually perfect timing as it was my sister’s birthday the following week. I am the chief cake baker in the family and I always try to do something different for each birthday. My dad had chocolate and salted caramel, my mum had sponge and fresh berries and for my sister, since her birthday is in July, I’d planned on making her an ice cream themed cake! I don’t have a recipe to share with you all since to achieve my ice cream masterpiece I actually mashed together quite a few recipes from Baking Mad’s summer…

Disney in Details – Where Amy Ate, Disneyland Paris Edition
Welcome to Disney in Details, Disneyland Paris, post four of five! This time I’m going to be telling you all about eating in Disneyland, so basically a DLP edition of Where Amy Ate. We haven’t had one of those in a while, huh? Before I went the one thing everyone kept on telling me about Disneyland Paris was just how expensive it was to eat there. Although I was told the same when I went to Paris and I personally didn’t find it anymore expensive than eating out in London. Anyway, I had prepared myself and now that I’m back I can see that they were both right and wrong.…

Baker Days Letterbox Cake Review*
Hands up who has ever eaten cake for breakfast? I have to admit, I’m guilty for having it whenever we have cake (or chocolate for that matter) in the house. I make Little Miss her breakfast then I hide out in the kitchen with my cup of tea and something sweet. At least I manage to be a good mother even when my sweet tooth gets the better of me. So of course, imagine my excitement when a cake drops through my letter box at breakfast? I smuggled it straight into the kitchen while Little Miss was sat eating her toast and banana and cut myself a few slices to…

The Maison Maille Culinary Blogger Challenge
Back in March I was contacted about a Culinary Challenge hosted by the people over at Maille. They were offering to send bloggers a couple of their products that would be used in original recipes as part of a competition. The winning entry, chosen by a panel of judges, would win a fantastic Food Lover London tour for two, valued at over £390 and the runners up will win a luxury hamper worth over £100. For me, any chance to win a trip to London in relation to food was enough to get my brain whirling with possible winning ideas. So I accepted and it took me a good six…
