Without sounding pathetic, I get very few Christmas presents. I don’t get a stocking and my parents buy for my daughter. I do get a few dollars and a gift off LM but thats it. Festive Things to Do with Kids Before Christmas
Yesterday Little Miss broke up for 2 weeks over Christmas, which of course, I’m used to. However this year she has 6 full days before the big day itself. For a little three year old, that’s a lot of time to fill when you’re waiting for Christmas and now that she knows she doesn’t go back to school until it’s over, she’s hyper and bored. #ChristmasJumperDay 2015
In the UK today it’s #ChristmasJumperDay an annual tradition where you don your Christmas jumper (the uglier the better) and donate to charity. Not just any charity, but Save the Children. Every year since LM was a baby we’ve taken part but it’s only the last two years we’ve had these adorkable matching sweaters from Asda. When we purchased them a percentage of the sales went straight to Save the Children. They’re actually for men and LM’s is for a boy, but we don’t care! Today I matched ours with tartan. LM’s Fav Christmas Books
In our house we don’t have Christmas books & DVDs available all year around, they get packed away with the Christmas tree meaning that when I put the tree up LM is able to get them out. This stops me getting too annoyed when I have to read or watch them over and over again during the Christmas period. Every year I add a few more of each to our collection. Last week Santa Claus paid an early visit to Little Miss! Because she’d been so good this year, Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves left a little present under the tree for LM as a special extra. Our Local Christmas Market
Today was the day of our local Christmas Market. I always try to support it but it really is nothing compared to the ones in the cities (which I really miss visiting). However after the family drama yesterday it was so nice for LM and I to get some time ourselves with my parents and LM truly enjoyed the attention from Nanny and Grandad.
