#ChristmasJumperDay 2015
In the UK today it’s #ChristmasJumperDay an annual tradition where you don your Christmas jumper (the uglier the better) and donate to charity. Not just any charity, but Save the Children. Every year since LM was a baby we’ve taken part but it’s only the last two years we’ve had these adorkable matching sweaters from Asda. When we purchased them a percentage of the sales went straight to Save the Children. They’re actually for men and LM’s is for a boy, but we don’t care!
Today I matched ours with tartan. Mine, a tartan dress I bought years ago from ASOS and LM’s a pair of leggings from Cutie Pie Boutique I picked up for a few pounds in their Black Friday Sale. The blouse underneath is the one she wore to her Christmas party last week. And of course we both wore our Christmassy Crown & Glory hair accessories. I do try hard not to dress us too similar on a regular basis as it really prevokes people to ask whether or not we’re sisters, which is actually something that really makes me feel uncomfortable!
If you have taken part today, please remember to donate, the Save the Children website has all the information and it even gives you the option to donate online. This year the proceeds will be shared equally between Save the Children, Macmillan and Make a Wish, all charities close to my heart.
