I’ve been wanting to do a post about my childhood Christmases all season but I just wasn’t sure how to do it. However I saw this tag on Kate on Thin Ice and decided to turn it on it’s head by answering about past Christmases rather than how we celebrate now, which is something I have often shared on the blog. 12 Days of Christmas – Christmas Eve Box
As I mentioned in my Christmas Traditions I Love post, one of my favourite traditions is the Christmas Eve box. I started this tradition for Little Miss when she was a baby having seen other parents doing it and it being all over Pinterest. We always had to wear old pjs on Christmas eve then get new ones for Christmas which made no sense. This way LM is all clean and in new pjs for when Santa comes. In the run up to Christmas everyone is so busy. If you have kids you’ll have had a list of activities home come home from school. One of my favourite things to do at Christmas is to watch festive movies. I don’t keep them out all year around so it means LM pretty much binge watches them all between the end of November and the start of January to get her fill before the go up into the loft for the rest of the year. Christmas is such a busy time for everyone! Children have so much on at school, parents have all the prep, it’s not surprising that everyone’s healthy eating goes right out the window. Now I’m not talking diets here, I’m talking about actually having a hearty meal as a family and not just ordering take out or eating from the freezer for easiness every night. It’s been a long time since I shared a Little Miss Cosplays post as most of our Disney content is over on Livvy Bird Adventures now, however this past weekend she cosplayed a non-Disney and very Christmassy character that I really wanted to share with you all.
