Looking Back on April 2016
I skipped doing a Looking Back on post for March because a) I hardly had any posts to share and b) I knew I wanted to write about aspects of our trip in my own time. So here we are looking back on April 2016.
April wasn’t a great month for me. We arrived back in England on the morning of the 4th April and for two weeks after that everything just felt very flat and empty. I cried a lot, it was freezing cold and Little Miss didn’t want to sleep in her room alone. But things gradually started to improve and I’m actually looking forward to May! I ended the month with a spontanious trip to my best friend Bee’s house because she’s actually a star. I also booked all our Advanced Dining Reservations for our October trip which has kept me going on the Disney front, as well as making plans with friends. We also had a lot of snow, which is never nice at the end of April, my gas cost is still through the roof which I can’t say I appreciate. But today is May, and although May is hard for me mental health wise, I do have some good things to look forward to, including Bee’s birthday at the end of the month. Hopefully we’ll finally get some warmer weather too.
Anyway, here are a round up of my favourite posts from April;
So as far as my Disney parks posts are concerned, just last night I shared a review of Club Villain at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It was such a brilliant night and a great way to celebrate my birthday at Walt Disney World (although it wasn’t until two weeks afterwards!) how could it not be a great night, when all my cocktails were included! Another post I put together from our trip to Walt Disney World in March was all about Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival 2016. This is our second year attending but we really made the best of it this year checking out the exhibitions and enjoying the food. For Disneyland Paris this month I reviewed character dining at Cafe Mickey, back in October we ate there a second time and I definitely feel like it had improved. Finally I shared our Disneyland Paris Story on the 24th anniversary of the park opening. It was really nice to share my thoughts on the park now we spend a fair amount of time there. Maybe one day it’ll feel more like a hope park that the Walt Disney World Resort.
I also took part in a couple of Disney tags this month as I really enjoy doing them as well as reading other peoples. Firstly I did The Disney Princess tag which a lot of other Disney bloggers have done. Then I put together my own tag 20 Facts About my Disney Life tag, which is 20 random facts about my life with Disney. I would love to read some facts from other bloggers about how Disney is part of their every day lives.
As far as good parenting posts this month we’ve been a little thin on the ground! I blogged about the Disney Princess Toddler Dolls that joined Little Miss for a tea party on #nationalteaday. I also shared the first recipe for Meal Ideas for Under 5s, which was lettuce wraps. Finally, for Little Miss Cosplays this month, while out in Florida we did a little photoshoot around Port Orleans Riverside resort of Little Miss as Charlotte La Bouff from Princess and the Frog. I truly love that dress and the resort, and LM really is the perfect Lottie.
Finally, for general life posts I shared some ways to relive your holiday in attempt to help myself get over some serious Disney blues. And in the same vein I did a post holiday blues wishlist. All I want to do is shop at the moment as it makes me feel happy when I know I have parcels coming to the house.
