Disney Cosplay – Ariel, The Little Mermaid
As you saw in my London Film and Comicon post from a few days ago on the Saturday along with Bee, her partner Chris, her brother Chris and his girlfriend Erika, we dabbled in the world of cosplay.. and I don’t know about them, but I definitely caught the bug! Although I do put this down the fact I am slightly in love with my dress. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that for a long time I’ve wanted to cosplay Ariel from The Little Mermaid, in particularly the blue dress that she wears when Eric is showing her around the kingdom. So when deciding…

Getting The House Summer Ready*
As I mentioned in yesterdays Mid Year Round Up post, Saturday past saw one year since I officially moved into my home. I also mentioned since I moved I have done very little to make it feel like a “finished” product. We the year mark passing I’ve had an urge to do some more home improvements and I thought i’d share my plans with my readers, who if you followed Cocktails in Teacups last year will know all about my home from my house tours. With the change of season I always feel like there are certain ways to improve your home. In the winter I want thicker bedding and…

April Reads
I keep thinking I did really badly on my book reading this month, but in actual fact, I didn’t. I technically only read one books, but since the second book I started mid April is 800 pages odd long in tiny print with hundreds of characters, I don’t think it’s surprising i’m not even a third of the way through. Yes, you guessed it, I started to read A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. I’m only 200 pages into the first book Game of Thrones and it’s hard going, but I’m enjoying it. The book I did manage to read happened to be a tour guide,…

February Reads
I’m quite impressed with how well I’m keeping up with this whole reading thing. Another four books read this year, that’s seven now and I’m almost finished The Great Gatsby so that’ll be eight, only two away from how many books I read in 2013. No wonder I made this unofficial resolutions to read more for 2014! The only problem is that now I feel the need to buy more books. My basket on Amazon is filled with bargain books from the marketplace (anyone else love that for cheap DVDs and books or is it just me?) My to read shelf is pretty full but every time I finish one…

#91 Miss Geekay Jewellery Review
A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Gillian of Miss Geekay Jewellery. We exchanged a few emails back and forth as she introduced her new online shop. After checking it out for myself, I instantly fell in love with some of her pieces, which she tells me are inspired by the high street & magazines. The best part of all? Everything is less than £5! I was lucky enough to be sent a couple of my favourite pieces. The items arrived beautifully wrapped with a cute personalised tag. I’m a real sucker when companies make things personal! Anyway, I’d mentioned to Gillian how much I adored…

Looking Back on February 2017
February has been a strange month, looking back now I don’t really even remember most of it, that’s how little happened during it. Little Miss started Drama classes the first weekend of the month. Then there was obviously Valentines Day which I didn’t really celebrate and Little Miss had half term, which is all I can really remember of the month. During half term we had a few afternoons out, we went away to Newcastle for the day and we went to see the Lego Batman Movie. I’ve been really under the weather with something I just can’t put my finger on and this caused some serious anxiety issues. I…
