Disneyland Paris – Cafe Mickey Dinner Sitting Review

    April 24, 2016 /

Today I’m reviewing Cafe Mickey in the Disney Village at the Disneyland Paris resort. I did a poll and it turns out this is what people were most interested in reading so here we are. Little Miss and I have eaten here twice, and since the menu upgrade this is now my favourite place to eat on property. We ate way back in May 2014 when we visited with my mum and again in October 2015. Although I have used photos from both visits, I will be reviewing the restaurant based on our trip last October as it includes the menu that is now in operation. As I mentioned above,…

Why I Have The Best Job in the World*

    April 22, 2016 /

Being a parent is one of the hardest jobs in the world. It is amazing, though and I wouldn’t change life as it is now. I think if you asked any group of mums, they would tell you just how rewarding it is. I think of the best reasons is that you are your child’s favourite person in the world. You are the person that they call out for when they are ill and want to have a cuddle with when they fall over. For me, that is one of the most magical things about it. There are plenty of other things too. Here are some of my thoughts on…

#NationalTeaDay Jakks Disney Toddler Dolls Tea Party Review

    April 21, 2016 /

Happy Birthday Ma’am! The Queen of England is 90 years old today and in celebration of her birthday and all things British it’s also National Tea Day! I have an awful confession to make, but I really hated tea until I had Little Miss at 24! It’s all they gave you in the hospital so I ended up liking it and now I have at least one cup a day. Of course I had my cup this morning, but since LM isn’t up to the tea drinking stage yet, we had a tea party this morning instead with her new Disney Toddler Dolls. We were kindly sent three of the…

Food Content // Delicious Beef Stew Recipe Suitable for All of the Family*

    April 21, 2016 /

I quite enjoy cooking and coming up with recipes that my daughter and I can enjoy. She is a good eater on the whole so I do feel lucky in that respect. She is open to trying most things so I don’t have to come up with anything too complicated. One thing that she loves to have is beef stew. It is easy to make and doesn’t take too long to make either. The great thing with beef is that if you slow cook it, it just gets better and better. Tender meat that just falls off the bone? Yes, please! Ingredients 4 rump or t-bone steak 800g tinned chopped…

5 Must Haves for the Kitchen*

    April 20, 2016 /

I have a little sign that hangs in my kitchen that says “Amy’s Kitchen is the heart of the home” my mum brought it back from Greece and although it’s a little gimmicky there is a fair amount of truth in it. I do spend a lot of time in my kitchen, and now that I’m trying hard to get Little Miss to eat, I’m spending even more time in it. I love to cook, to bake and just generally potter. My kitchen isn’t somewhere I encourage Little Miss to be in unless it’s to help me prepare food or to eat as our table is also in the kitchen,…

What Happens If Your Child Doesn’t Get Their Preferred School?*

    April 19, 2016 /

In September Little Miss will be starting school full time. For any parent this is a stressful time, the thought of their baby heading off to school, all dressed in a uniform for over 6 hours a day, I know I’m dreading it already. Last Friday, parents of children about to start school found out whether or not they’d been accepted into their first choice school. I received my email around 6am so it was there waiting for me when I awoke, and thankfully my little girl got into ours. But this wasn’t the case for everyone and I can’t imagine how much heart ache that brought to some families…
