Hacks for Surviving a Long Haul Flight with a Small Child*
In 50 days I’ll be embarking on my forth long haul flight to Walt Disney World with a child under 5 as a single parent. The first time I flew long haul (also the second time I flew with Little Miss) she was barely three. She turned three at the end of January and we flew the beginning of April. I know I had people tell me I was crazy, that I’d regret it when people were giving me “that look” when she couldn’t settle or ended up bored an hour in. Guess what? It never happened. In fact, as of yet it’s still never happened. Two of our flights…

Weekend in the Peak District
Last weekend it was my other halves birthday so we packed up his car and headed to the Peak District, just the two of us. Long distance relationships are are so hard and I’m not the greatest at them, in fact, I’m the worst. So three days alone with him away from it all was nothing short of bliss. I’m sure no one wants to know the mundane things we got up to just talking and enjoying each other’s company, so instead I’m just sharing some photos because the Peak District really is a beautiful part of the world, one that I haven’t really had the chance to see. This…

Must Fastpass Rides at Walt Disney World for Under 5s*
So far, every trip I’ve taken to Walt Disney World as an adult has been with my under 5 year old. Our first visit Little Miss had barely turned three when we went and still she managed to do so much! This is why in the old debate of “how young is too young for a Disney holiday?” (it’s a real debate, look it up) in my personal opinion and experience, if your kid is of a good temperament, go from an age where they can really experience the magic. Little Miss went to Disneyland Paris at two and she loved it, she probably would have loved it at the…

Exploring the North East – Barter Books
At the moment Little Miss and I have a friend from the US staying with us meaning we’ve been off on adventures every single day. She’s an Anglophile and love all things quintessentially British which is great because I live in a rather historic part of town. We’ve walked miles every day and my legs are aching but it’s been great and I’ve really enjoyed being a tourist in the county I call home. I don’t plan on staying here forever, so it’s been great letting Little Miss explore! Yesterday we took a bus down to the historic market town of Alnwick to Barter Books. This is somewhere I’ve wanted…

Could A Weekend In London Make A Great Romantic Break?*
Whether you’re in a new relationship or have been with your partner for years, now and then it’s nice to get away for a short break. While it can be nice to take the kids away with you, you don’t always need your little ones in tow. Sometimes, it’s nice to spend some one-on-one time with your partner, at least, I think so anyway. If you’re thinking of planning a short getaway with your partner, London could just be the perfect place. It’s packed full of lots to see and do, there are lots of lovely places to enjoy a meal, and there’s always lots of deals online for short…

10 Things That Were Awesome at Walt Disney World March 2016
We’re nearly half way through the time between our two trips to Walt Disney World of 2016. A lot of people say “already?” but to Little Miss and I it feels like a lifetime. To a lot of people it’s just another holiday, but to Little Miss and I, it’s where a lot of our friends are. Where we’re at our happiness. I rarely see the smile that dominates LMs face in the States while we’re sat indoors in the UK because it’s constantly pouring with rain outside. We miss it. Because we’re nearly half way through, I felt it was time to have a real reminiscing session about the…
