The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick Review
Meet Pat. Pat has a theory: his life is a movie produced by God. And his God-given mission is to become physically fit and emotionally literate, whereupon God will ensure a happy ending for him — the return of his estranged wife Nikki. (It might not come as a surprise to learn that Pat has spent time in a mental health facility.) The problem is, Pat’s now home, and everything feels off. No one will talk to him about Nikki; his beloved Philadelphia Eagles keep losing; he’s being pursued by the deeply odd Tiffany; his new therapist seems to recommend adultery as a form of theraphy. Plus, he’s being hunted…

MAC Sounds Like Noise & Hang Up Lipstick Reviews
I had planned to write a book review tonight however after a really awful day I just haven’t felt like it so instead I’m posting a scheduled post early. I’m really struggling at the minute, this really rubbish year is catching up on me now, bad luck at every turn. It just seems to be weekly. Big sigh! Anyway (without getting too soppy), I just want to say blogging is what keeps me going. All the lovely supportive comments and really nice girls on twitter for daily chats about all sorts of subjects. I’m so glad I started this, it’s something nice to focus on when things get too much.…

Nottingham Bloggers Meet – The Day, Meal & The Infamous Goody Bags
This is the first of three posts about the Nottingham Blogger Meet that I attended on Saturday 13th April. I’m going to do a second one for my shopping haul (weeks of saving paid off!) and one for the Kiehls visit. It was a fantastic experience, my first ever blogger meet (although since blogging I have met quite a few bloggers through events and through chatting on twitter) so much fun! I feel incredibly lucky that I heard about it and managed to go along because I was in the area. My shoulders and feet still hurt from all the shopping, not to mention how tired I am despite the…

Benefit Fine One One Review
As I’m away for a few days I thought i’d schedule some posts. This first one is a beauty review for Benefit’s Fine One One. I bought this as a birthday treat a few weeks back after trying it the Fake Up event. I’ve always been rubbish at contouring so when I found a product that would basically do it for me I just had to have it! I know it’s had some mixed reviews but I love it, and here is why! Let me first say I’m not normally a fan of cream blushes. I struggle to blend them and I just look silly.. that was until I picked…

#100 A Murder in Wonderland.
This is my 100th post on Cocktails in Teacups! I’ve been blogging since September now, each month I seem to find time to write more & more, or perhaps i’ve just become better at organising my time? That’s probably it since i’m not blogging this while Little Miss finally takes her nap. She’s going through a phase of thinking she doesn’t need naps during the day.. but believe me, she does. When she reaches the point where she can no longer be bothered to walk and all she wants is to be carried, she needs a blooming nap. I haven’t blogged for the last two days due to having a…

#97 Happy Easter!
Easter Basket made by my mum I hope everyone has enjoyed their extra long weekend? I know I have and for me that’s a rarity as I’m sure you are all well aware of how much I hate the weekend! For once there was peace, patience and fun under our extremely over crowded roof. No arguements, geeky chats and a lot of food, just what I was hoping for. For once my dad was on fine form, it was like the dad we grew up with, not the old grump that we have today that works too much and drinks too much because he worries too much and sleeps too…
