#120 Peaches for Monsieur le Cure by Joanne Harris Review
When Vianne Rocher receives a letter from beyond the grave, she has no choice but to return to Lansquenet, where she once owned a chocolate shop and learned the meaning of home. But returning to one’s past can be a dangerous pursuit, and Vianne and her daughters find the beautiful French village changed in unexpected ways: women veiled in black, the scent of spices in the air, and—facing the church—a minaret. Most surprising of all, her old nemesis, Francis Reynaud, desperately needs her help. Can Vianne work her magic once again? Back in January I read the sequel to Chocolat; (you know the movie with Johnny Depp? well it was…

#117 Where Amy Ate – Stateside Diner, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Welcome to the newest feature on Cocktails in Teacups, Where Amy Ate. I have made no secret in the fact I love to eat out. I don’t do it much since leaving the city and if I do it’s usually in my hometown. I try to mention as little about here as possible. But when I’m away for the day or the weekend, one of the best things is being able to eat out. I am known for going to the same places, Nandos, Wetherspoons, Frankie and Bennys but I’ve decided to make this feature work, I’m going to try new places. As I mentioned on my Weekly Wardrobe post,…

North East Body Shop Event
As I mentioned on my Weekly Wardrobe post, on Friday I attended a Body Shop event held in Newcastle and hosted by Maddie. Despite having severe train trouble (the train sat on the platform for an HOUR before departing due to a thunderstorm knocking out the lines) I arrived only 10 minutes late and even then it didn’t start straight away giving me time to meet up with some lovely bloggers i’d previously met at the Benefit Fake Up event or I regular chat to on twitter. I was especially pleased to see Louise of Confetti Letters, Chloe of Chloe Witty and Tasha of Hello Freckles. We were all greeted…

#115 Models Own at Littlewoods.com Review
A couple of weeks back I was contacted by the lovely Laura of Talented Talkers. She had come across my blog and was interested in introducing me to some brands, one being Littlewoods which are currently running a nail care campaign. I jumped at the chance having only just started to take interest in my nails since moving home. I’m slowly building up a nice collection of colours and I do have my nails painted most days. Firstly, when you think of Littlewoods, do you think of nail polish? No, I didn’t either, until now. After being informed by Laura that Littlewoods do indeed stock nail polish I headed over…
