Looking Back on January 2017
Towards the end of last year I got lax on my “Looking Back On…”, which sucked because I really enjoyed doing them and it was a nice way to reflect on my best of blog, keeping all my favourite posts from the month together along with a summary of what we got up to. So for 2017 I’m going to do my best to resurrect them. January has, as ever, been a truly long and gruelling month. Anxiety has been high, self esteem has been low and the weather has been pretty rubbish. This January was particularly bad as I was (still am) nursing a truly broken heart and it’s…

Hello Five!
On Saturday Little Miss turned five! I’m not sure why but five seems a lot older than four! Maybe it’s because she’s at school now, or has almost lost her third tooth, or just the fact she really is no longer a baby. She is starting to read and write and is completely independent as far as dressing and undressing herself, brushing her hair, teeth and feeding herself. She really is a big girl now. Unlike last year I didn’t find done to do a pre-birthday photo shoot and put together a post because she was at school and then in the evening I had a cake and balloon disaster…

Beating the January Blues with a Perfect Spa Day*
I really really struggle with January, not only is it a long depressing month where it’s really cold and money is tight but everyone is feeling flat after Christmas. I also struggle with anxiety at the start of the year which I blogged about as the next 12 months feel daunting. I know I shouldn’t hate January as much as I do because Little Miss has her birthday but still, it doesn’t stop how I feel both mentally and physically the other 30 days of the month! This year we got lucky and headed off to Disneyland Paris for 3 days, but now that I’m back I feel flatter than…
