Disneyland Paris Haul January 2017
I know not everyone is a fan of “hauls” and in my opinion it is a silly word for things you’ve bought, haul always sounds like you’ve stolen it but if you say a post is a haul in the blogging world people know exactly what you mean. ANYWAY, this is just a quick round up on the things we bought while in Disneyland Paris last month (much more of a mouthful than haul). Usually I forget to take photos before things are opened or put away but this time I remembered to photograph all by one item that LM opened while we were on the Eurostar, it was a…

#NowCookIt with CO-OP – Roasted Vegetable Cous Cous
Did you know that in October of last year, CO-OP and SORTEDfood partnered up to help get young people cooking? Well they did and together they came up with Now Cook It and way to help young people learn to cook. Now Cook It is a simple online cooking course to help people learn basic techniques at a time and pace thats suits them. The course is completely free to anyone who has access to a computer. Back when I was 18 and first out on my own I had to teach myself to cook. At home my mum had done all the cooking so I lacked basic skills that…

Childhood Toys My Daughter Still Plays With*
In my ways I’m so thankful my parents are hoarders, my dad more than my mum and this 100% applies to stuff that belonged to my sister and I. The attic at their house is like a museum of childhood and every time my dad is on holiday he insists he’s going to sort it out. I know somewhere there is a huge box of all my classic novels like Little Women, Alice in Wonderland, The Wind in the Willows that I collected as a child. There’s also so many plush toys from the Disney Store i’m sure I could make a fortune on eBay. Somewhere there is replica Cinderella…

Valentines Day Gifts with Debenhams
SOME LINKS HAVE BEEN REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER FOR SALE As I mentioned in my post on Thursday, I’m single again but that probably won’t stop me celebrating Valentines Day in my own way and Debenhams were kind enough to send me an amazing hamper filled with my favourite Valentines gift picks to share with you all, just in case your other half is lacking in inspiration on what you buy for the big day. Of course Valentines Day isn’t just about the gifts. It’s about showing your loved one, be that a significant other, a child, or even a friend just how you feel about them. Technically, you…

Getting an Annual Pass at Disneyland Paris
On our trip to Disneyland Paris last month I finally did something that’s been on my bucket list for a while, we became Annual Pass Holders! I have considered it for Walt Disney World for the last two years but as they regularly have black out days I would have had to get the top tier one making it well over $1000 for Little Miss and I where as I could buy a 21 day one for our trip in March and a 14 day one for our trip in October for both of us and it still cost less. Plus by getting the 14 day pass in October it…

Goals for 2017 – Learn to Use My Camera*
At the start of the year I wasn’t in the best head space to be making new years resolutions, not that I make any real ones anyway, I just usually set myself some goals to help improve my life. Now a month in I feel like I’m in a better place to real look at what I want to achieve in 2017. I strongly dislike January, and after my break up at the end of December I found it harder than ever but I survived, I made some good memories and I’m ready to move on. Now at the start of February it’s time to real dig my heals in,…
