Parenting Content // Fostering A Positive Relationship Between Your Kids And Technology*

    July 19, 2017 /

The chances are that it was less than an hour ago that your fourteen year old asked whether they could use their tablet to see what their friends were up to on the world of Instagram. As a parent, you want to ensure that you children are receiving the best upbringing, with opportunities to become technologically savvy. But you are afraid of them becoming technologically reliant. When the choice is heading to the beach or playing a shoot ‘em up on their Xbox, you ache for them to choose the beach. So…

Festival Content // The Rise of WiFi: Music Festival Connectivity*

    July 14, 2017 /

There is nothing worse than seeing that “no wifi available” sign pop up on your phone and tablet. What, I have to use my data?! And even worse if there is no date in that area! It makes me so sad that Disneyland Paris doesn’t have Wifi in their parks and it is honestly one of the few places left like this. But festivals also remain one of these such places where WiFi isn’t available across a whole festival site…

My 5 Favourite Chick Lit Authors

    July 12, 2017 /

I always vow I’m going to blog more about books and reading but I never do. I’m always afraid I’ll give away spoilers if I review anything which is why I’ve decided to share favourite authors today rather than books. I’ve been doing a lot of long train journeys and that means I can power through without distractions. My favourite genre of books these days is either Young Adult Fantasy (can’t be bothered with those teen growing pains ones, being an adult is…

    Introducing Livvy Bird Adventures

    July 10, 2017 /

In September, Cocktails in Teacups will be 5 years old. I have blogged pretty much religiously since 18/09/12 and I really am proud of how far I’ve come. This blog has gone through a few evolutions, from general rambling, through food, fashion, beauty (when I still had time and effort to care about my appearance) and has now ended on life, parenting and a little bit of travel. In the mix there is Disney. Disney is a huge part of my life, and as Little Miss grows it’s getting bigger. We live for our Disney trips, LM is heavily into cosplay, we support small shops for Disney merch and I…

    July 8, 2017 /

When it comes to your family, you will always want what is best for them. With the arrival of a new baby in your lives, this principle becomes even more crucial. Suddenly, there are more things to consider, like how their nursery will be arranged, what will go into said nursery, and how it should be constructed. Several baby books all dictate that the environment in which your newborn is in is key to his or her development. The nursery needs to have windows The best way to increase your child’s productivity and curiosity is to continually expose him or her to different outlets of education. Windows in a nursery…
