Blogmas Day 5 – A Trip to Meet Santa Claus
A short post for Blogmas today but a rather special one. This is my first Christmas Life post and I’m excited to share. Today in the little village my parents live in there was a Christmas fayre where you could meet Santa Claus. Usually they have a great one on a Friday night where they have Santa in his sleigh with reindeer and he turns on the Christmas lights, but this year, for whatever reason, that was cancelled and instead the fayre happened on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t as busy (probably due to a lot of people working) but our family enjoyed it. There was cake, tea and coffee,…

#HolidayHeroes Competition with Ice Lolly*
I decided to do something a little different for my third day of Blogmas. Today I’m going to share with you my heroes of 2015. I usually do some kind of post towards the end of the year about the people who have played an important role over the last year, so I thought i’d combine it with the fact Ice Lolly are running a competition about #HolidayHeroes and it’s now down to the last 9! One of these wonderfully deserving people will win a holiday to Majorca! Head over to Ice Lolly’s #HolidayHeroes page now, and by voting you’ll also get £50 off your next holiday! So, back to…

#WeSoFancyDress Back to School Party
Let’s face it, my kid is queen of fancy dress. If she could dress up every day as a different princess, she would. I think that’s why she loves a Disney holiday so much because she CAN dress up every day. Anyway, before Florida we have to go through 2 weeks of school, which means practical play clothes every day, and a rather unhappy Little Miss, so when Asda gave us the chance to host a #WeSoFancyDress back to school party with some of their range of fancy dress costumes for kids, I jumped at the chance figuring it would keep her going until our trip. I adore Asda’s range…

2015 Summer Seaside Festival
This weekend it was out local seaside festival. One of my favourite weekends of the whole summer, even more so this year because we had beautiful sunshine! My parents live in the village where it is held, just around the corner from the promenade. Little Miss loves it more with each passing year. I took my camera both days, Saturday I mainly photographed Little Miss and my nephew, however today my mum let me walk along child free so I could take some more photos to share on the blog. Typically today when I took my camera out properly the weather wasn’t half as nice and even threatened a thunderstorm…

Gorgeous Grandma Day, 23rd July 2015*
Tomorrow is Gorgeous Grandma Day, and although I do think all these “unofficial” celebration days are a bit silly, I’m happy to take any opportunity to praise my Nanny (my Grandmother) and my mum (Little Miss’ Grandmother), especially after the year we’ve had with loosing my Grandpa. My Nanny is one in a million. She is now the head of our family after her husband, my Grandpa passed away in January. They have been together since my Nanny was 15 and married since she was 17. They were the epitome of old school childhood sweethearts and together they had 5 children, 16 grandchildren and so far 13 great grandchildren. That’s…

Our Summer Bucket List*
Today is the first day of the six weeks summer holidays. I have been both dreading and feeling incredibly excited about this holiday. It’s LM’s first time ever being off for the whole lot since the past two years we’ve paid for her to attend pre-school but now because she’s on funding she doesn’t get anything towards her time there. The first two weeks are especially daunting because my parents are out of the country and I rely on my mum a lot, even just for adult company. So, to keep us going I’ve put together a bucket list for the summer with things we can do together (not including…
