    Paris City Break Haul

    November 16, 2013 /

I can’t believe it’s been over two weeks since I came back from Paris already and we’re over half way through November! I’m already planning like hell for my trips next year, 2014 is definitely going to be the year of some major exploration, Paris really gave me the bug! I want to give Little Miss so many experiences, ones I never got to have as a child and that includes seeing some parts of the country. I’m so lucky to have friends all over the shop who are willing to accommodate us both. Anyway, today’s post is to show you what I bought while I was visiting The City…

    End of Year Blogging Goals

    November 15, 2013 /

Happy Friday Guys! Sorry there isn’t a reads for the weekend today but due to being in bed ill for the best part of the week (aka last weekend) I didn’t get a chance to keep track of my favourite posts to share.. so instead of giving you all a half hearted Reads for the Weekend, I’m going to share my blogging goals I’m hoping to reach by the end of 2013.  2013 has been a really shitty, pardon my language, year for me in so many ways, but as I approach the end of the year things are starting to look up (touch wood) and i’m really looking forward…

John Lewis Outdoor Light Product Review

    November 14, 2013 /

This is a long overdue review but because of the fact some jobs really do just need a man, and if my dad’s busy.. I’m sort of short of having a man to help me out. In the past few months my dad has been constantly busy, first it was traveling back and forward to visit my grandfather in hospital, then I was away and then he’s been away. He’s only off Saturdays and Sundays meaning he tries to cram a weeks worth of activities into two days. Anyway, what i’m trying to say, sometimes you need a man around especially when it comes to certain things in the house.…

    Recipe No.19 French Onion Soup

    November 7, 2013 /

I decided to take a small break from my posts about Paris and share a dish I made last week when I was craving everything French (I also bought French brie & croissants!) Although I never ate it in Paris, I saw it many times on the menu in various restaurants so with the weather turning so cold, I thought I’d give it a go. I have in the past only ate in in restaurants in the UK and the recipe I adapted to suit me was one from a cook book by a British person, it was the Lisa Faulkner cookbook again, Recipes from my Mother for my Daughter,…

Paris City Break – Day Three

    November 6, 2013 /

WARNING; This post is very photograph & text heavy. By the third day we’d seen all the big things we really wanted to see. We decided to head out for breakfast after the complimentary breakfast at the hostel wasn’t that amazing (can’t expect much when it’s free!) Hayley had found this place called Breakfast in America which was an authentic American diner in Paris. We had to go. When we arrived we had a bit of a giggle at the fact it was right next door to La Favourite where we’d dined the night before. Oh well. The food was fantastic and will be featured in my special edition of…

Paris City Break – Day Two

    November 5, 2013 /

WARNING; This post is very photograph & text heavy. The night before we sort of planned what we wanted to do on day two, it was all worked around Hayley‘s 13:30 reservation at the Cat Cafe. We’d also tried to book Eiffel Tower tickets online from the hostel but it was booked up until the Wednesday. We didn’t want to take a chance that the weather was going to turn so instead we made our way to the Eiffel Tower for it’s opening at 9:30 hoping the queue would be at it’s shortest. Luckily we were right, although it wasn’t as short as we would of liked. It was another…
