Disney Product Review – Walter & Rosie Candle Co.

Firstly, I need to say since I received these candles for my birthday, Walter & Rosie Candle Co. have had a bit of an overhaul and their candles now come in beautiful glass jars with suction lids! I absolutely love their new look, they look incredibly classy and I cannot wait to get a hold of them and the new room scents!

Anyway, back to the candles I received for my birthday. I was gifted three scents Foolish Mortals, Pineapple Whip & Mickey Waffles. All three of the candles are inspired by scents around the Disney parks, in particular Walt Disney World which is why they really appeal to me. I am constantly trying to relieve my holiday and what better way that having my whole house smell like the theme parks?

First up Mickey Waffles. Anyone who has been to Walt Disney World and ate breakfast in a table service restaurant should have at least tried Mickey Waffles, they’re an iconic Disney food. Well this candle smells like those and I love it. The smell is warm and comforting and I burn it in my lounge. You can still buy it on the Walter & Rosie Candle co. for $16 in the new glass jar format. Next we have Pineapple Whip, this one is currently unavailable but it smells just like the famous pineapple Dole Whip. I have to admit I’m not fan of the actual ice cream (because I’m weird and I don’t like ice cream) but I am a huge pineapple fan and I love the sweet, fresh smell of this. It is perfect to burn in the kitchen. Finally, we have Foolish Mortal, which of course is inspired by the Haunted Mansion ride. This is another one you can still buy in the new format. I have to admit I wasn’t that keen on the smell of the wax alone before I started to burn it, it was far to pungent for me. However now I’m half way through it, I take it back. The vanilla in the scent comes through much stronger and I really like that.

The candles themselves burn evenly and although I had a little trouble with the tin getting so hot it marked my fireplace (my own fault for not putting it on a coaster really) I know this is no longer a problem now the candles are in glass. That would honestly be my only criticism which is now irrelevant! I think you get a good size candle for the price you pay, although I’m not sure what shipping and customs would be to the UK. Being someone who spends a good deal of money on Disney, it probably wouldn’t matter too much. I can honestly say that while burning the scent does carry which is something important for me, I don’t like candles that just give you that burning smell. I’m really impressed with Walter & Rosie Candle co. I’ll definitely be ordering more, I cannot wait to try Main Street Bakery. While I’m burning it I can sob over my homemade coffee because it’s not Starbucks with a view of the castle haha.

Ooh these look lovely! Was just wondering if it was expensive to have them shipped to the UK or if there were any customs costs?
    Thanks 🙂
