Guest Post Swap // Working in Walt Disney World, Florida

    May 10, 2014 /

Today I have for you the first of my guest post swaps. I really love sharing bloggers on Cocktails in Teacups and what better way to do this than having them guest post for me. Today I’ll have a post going up over on another blog, so you won’t be hearing from me (aside from this little paragraph!) The blogger today is writing about a subject I am so envious of, so I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as me! I give you Lisa from Every Day Lisa Mae!  ———————————————— Credit  Many little girls dream of growing up to become a Disney Princess.  Most grow out of that innocent…

WLTM TDH with GSOH* – #3dates3mths 2nd Month Update

    May 7, 2014 /

*Would like to meet, tall dark and handsome with good sense of humour.  Right, I just had this ingenious idea on how I can meet my true love this morning while watching Frozen. I’ve decided I need to get myself cursed by a witch/wizard/aliment.. In fairy tales, Disney movies and even Once Upon a Time, true loves kiss fixes everything. But my theory is that if I get myself cursed then my friends and family line up eligible men to kiss me (I know, what a long shot) and the one that breaks the curse is obviously my true love! Saves all this trying to find dates and uncertainty as…

Root7 Zing Anything Vodka Zinger Review

    May 4, 2014 /

Often I get contacted by some unusual companies about product reviews, I don’t always accept if I don’t think it’s right for my blog, however a few weeks back I received an email from a company called Root 7, introducing me to a product that is perfect for Cocktails in Teacups. Having never heard of them before, I did my good research and discovered that Root 7 is a kitchen and barware company based in London. I can never turn down a chance to review a new gadget for the kitchen, even better if it’s something that uses alcohol, so here we have my review for the Vodka Zinger. The…

MeMeMe Dark & Divine Mascara Review

    May 3, 2014 /

As much as I absolutely adore my SLR, and believe me, I do, it is not the best when it comes to taking close up photos of my face. I think I may have to invest in a new lens eventually if I want to continue with make up reviews, because I always feel like I have to include a photo of it on my face, otherwise I could be telling you total tosh, right? Anyway, the reason I’m going on about that is because today I’m reviewing a fab new mascara from MeMeMe. MeMeMe is a brand I have only just discovered back in January, but so far, I’m…

The Maison Maille Culinary Blogger Challenge

    May 2, 2014 /

Back in March I was contacted about a Culinary Challenge hosted by the people over at Maille. They were offering to send bloggers a couple of their products that would be used in original recipes as part of a competition. The winning entry, chosen by a panel of judges, would win a fantastic Food Lover London tour for two, valued at over £390 and the runners up will win a luxury hamper worth over £100. For me, any chance to win a trip to London in relation to food was enough to get my brain whirling with possible winning ideas. So I accepted and it took me a good six…

    April Reads

    May 1, 2014 /

I keep thinking I did really badly on my book reading this month, but in actual fact, I didn’t. I technically only read one books, but since the second book I started mid April is 800 pages odd long in tiny print with hundreds of characters, I don’t think it’s surprising i’m not even a third of the way through. Yes, you guessed it, I started to read A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. I’m only 200 pages into the first book Game of Thrones and it’s hard going, but I’m enjoying it.  The book I did manage to read happened to be a tour guide,…
