    Goodbye Grandpa

    March 19, 2015 /

I’ve deleted the contents of this post quite a number of times over the last few weeks. I want to write about this as I wrote about my Grandad so it only seems fair but this feels so much harder to do. Unlike my Grandad, my Grandpa was like a second father and loosing him has been one of the most painful experiences of my life. My Grandpa passed away on the 30th January, 2 days after LM’s birthday. My mum was called to his bedside on the Monday and along with her mother and her sisters they only came away at night. I like to firmly believe my Grandpa…

Travel Content // 5 Reasons Your Next Holiday Should Be to a Health Retreat*

    March 17, 2015 /

Credit When planning your next holiday, thoughts usually revolve around beach escapes, luxury resorts, and cultural experiences. What is usually not on the list, though, is holidaying at a health resort. Below are five reasons that is exactly where your next vacation should be. 1. To Clear Your Mind The ultimate goal for many people when they go on vacation is to clear their mind from all of life’s distractions. Health retreats allow you to do this through their secluded locations and wellbeing programs. Plus, retreats only allow a limited number of visitors at a time. Health and wellness escapes such as the Chi of Life Retreat are available all…

Grown Up Ways to Celebrate a Birthday*

    March 16, 2015 /

As you all know, on Saturday I celebrated my twenty seventh birthday. I won’t lie, it makes me feel nervous seeing my age edge towards the big three-oh. For my thirtieth I want to spend the day dressed as a Disney princess and drink a lot of champagne. Preferably in Disneyland/world. But in the mean time, I have two more birthdays that I would like to celebrate in a more grown up way. To be honest, by all accounts, I think I managed that to an extent this year, aside from prancing around in a tulle skirt and playing Cards Against Humanity, which is an adult game but in…

Walt Disney World Countdown… 20 Days to Go

    March 15, 2015 /

Less than three weeks to go now and time is flying in. It seems like a couple of days since I last posted a countdown when in actual fact it was 10! I’ll be honest and say I haven’t done a whole lot of holiday related things lately but this could be down to the fact there is very little left to do. We are literally down to the nitty gritty bits such as the packing, printing out documents, converting money to dollars etc. It’s crazy to think the next time I see Bee and her family will be in Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom. Every time I think…

Personal Style – Be The Good Girl You Always Have To Be

    March 14, 2015 /

Although I’m writing this on Thursday night, when my post goes live on Saturday it’ll be my twenty seventh birthday! I’m away until Sunday but as I’m trying to get all my Disney Bound outfit posts done before my holiday (THREE WEEKS TODAY GUYS!) I scheduled this post for today. This was one of the dresses I picked up from Hot Topic while in the US over the summer. It was the first of this material kind so I was originally pretty dubious that it would look like I was wearing swimwear as clothes but thankfully it didn’t, although I did wear it to a water park in New Jersey!…

    Flamingo Gifts Review

    March 11, 2015 /

ALL LINKS REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER AVAILABLE Last week the wonderfully kind people at Flamingo Gifts offered me the chance to review some items from their website. I have been following them on Twitter & Instagram for a few week now and I love the range of unique and unusual gifts and homewares they had to offer so I was thrilled. A couple of days later I received a parcel in the post containing the goodies above. I was so impressed with how quickly everything arrived and how well packaged it was which is important when one of the items was a candle in a glass jar! The candle…
