Personal Style – Be The Good Girl You Always Have To Be
Although I’m writing this on Thursday night, when my post goes live on Saturday it’ll be my twenty seventh birthday! I’m away until Sunday but as I’m trying to get all my Disney Bound outfit posts done before my holiday (THREE WEEKS TODAY GUYS!) I scheduled this post for today.
This was one of the dresses I picked up from Hot Topic while in the US over the summer. It was the first of this material kind so I was originally pretty dubious that it would look like I was wearing swimwear as clothes but thankfully it didn’t, although I did wear it to a water park in New Jersey! In case you can’t figure it out, the Fair Isle pattern is actually Frozen themed with really pretty silhouettes of Anna & Elsa. I also really love the colours.
Purple Rose Hairband (traded for), Vinted
Pale Blue Cardigan £9.99, H&M
Frozen Fair Isle Skater Dress $11.99, Hot Topic
Three Star Necklace* £12, Orelia Via Etail PR
Bead Friendship Bracelet* £10, Orelia Via Etail PR
Disney Couture Wish Upon a Star Bangle £39, Zentosa
Trasparenze Gennifer Merino Wool Tights* £11.99, UKTights
Tan Heeled Chelsea Boots (gift from my sister), Unknown
Although this week the weather has been improving slightly, I still wouldn’t dare going out without tights/leggings or a cardigan. With living on the coast it’s still often very windy and therefore chilly. I’m looking forward to wearing this dress without them both, because the cold truly does bother me. On Thursday I wore it with my favourite thick merino wool tights, which I’ve already shared in this Disney Bound personal style post! They’re so warm and despite being purple they go with a lot of my wardrobe, especially my Disney dresses. Usually I wear a cardigan over in purple too but it’s in the wash, so I wore the same style but in blue, and surprisingly it doesn’t look too busy.
Since I wore this on Thursday which was the day I celebrated my birthday with my family I did go all out with painted nails and even some jewellery. I was kindly sent the star necklace and thread bracelet by Orelia as part of their partnership with Etail PR and to be honest, I was thrilled. I love the dainty style of Orelia jewellery, they’re really pretty and are perfect with an already busy outfit that doesn’t need anything else too in your face. Orelia is definitely a purse friendly store that would be great for buying gifts, the items look so much more expensive than they actually were and come beautifully presented. As I like a bit more on my wrist I also wore my Disney Couture Wish Upon a Star bracelet that my parents bought me for my birthday while I was at university. It’s one of my favourite pieces. The hairband has already been featured in my Vinted Girl post, I got it as part of a trade when I was a little bit obsessed with that website and the boots were handed down by my sister, I don’t have a clue where they’re from.
I know a lot of people wonder if when a blogger posts about what they wear, whether or not they actually wear that. I can assure you on the days these photos are taken, I do 100% wear this exact outfit. This is the reason I’ve made this series into “personal style” because these outfits perfectly reflect my style. Although this dress has now been washed and is ready to be packet for my holiday, when I come back I’ll continue to style it so it can be worn in the cooler climates of this country!
